Every man, woman, and child tries
Tries to define that which cannot be defined

You

Who am I they pray
Who are you they say

Christian?
Okay
Which denomination, It’s an abomination
Religious, agnostic, atheist
Where do I find the list?
Spiritual, a realist, evolutionist
It must be quite the list

But what does it all mean
A man can dream
What I, you, what they
What we believe
Is that how we define a life

Where does it stop?
What if you’re a cop?
Is it our job, career, business, or vision?

We’re all on this mission
But nobody knows
Our blood, it flows
Our body, it grows
All the while
Our minds
They make us think
Ideas flow
Like the water we drink

But are we any closer?
I’ve got to say, hell no sir

We ask ourselves
We beg the question
Why are we here?
It just isn’t clear

So

Clarify
It’s a mystery
One that’s lost, deep in the bowels of history
Will we ever have a real answer?
It plagues our minds, like a form of cancer

Epiphany
It just came to me
A thought that’s already begun to flee
I know
Not who you are
But who I am
BAM

I’m always changing
A liquid, a gas
But in a solid mass
I am indescribable
Indefinable
Imperceptible
In the world of measurements
I’m barely visible
I know it might just blow your mind
But I am that
Which cannot be defined

I hate to rip on people, but if this is your best rant, you are not a very good 'ranter'.

I would give you a better grade as a poet for this.

Got to say I agree with the above poster, that was more like a poem to me as opposed to a rant.

But good poem

Sparda

Nice nice nice.

Sure the meter was jouncy, don't matter.
And the rymming, it couldn't been badder.
But the angst it was flowin
The essence was showen
You're as mad as the March Hare and Hatter.

Yes, I liked your rant/poem. More of a personal declaration. Bravo.
Oh, and thanks for the inspiration for this limerick.

Sounds like it would make a really good heavy metal song if put to the right music! For some reason this just sounds like the lyrics from a Metallica or Godsmack song. It's not!!! But sounds like it should be!

I actually did mean it that way! While reading it, even now, it keeps reminding me of Sad But True in places and others a couple different Godsmack tunes come to mind.

Nice job on those man.

Hey...Sad But True, Sick of Life, Serenity, etc. can all be thought of as rants in my opinion!!!
