The wind in the east has been incredibly powerful where I am it is considered a green zone, down towards the red, you can see the power of these storms in action.

This one caught my eye, where the beginning of a tornado rests above a river, and begins forming a water spout, pulling water to its core from all directions atop the rushing river.

What power,

Takes some pretty big cojones to just stand there and film something like that so close. Or more guts than brains....

My thoughts exactly -

Its pulling thousands of gallons of water to its core from hundreds of feet in all directions?

All it takes is one metal shingle to the head and its night night for the big sleep.

The wind is relatively harmless, its what it carries thats the problem.

Look at that thing, gah,

Pretty sure that was a weather camera being operated remotely. So no cojones required. Still, fantastic video!

Wow, that is both one of the coolest things I've ever seen in my life and one of my biggest nightmares at the same time! It really goes to show the power of a tornado. Thanks for posting this!

I saw this on the news and it freaked me out.

I am surrounded by water and in my mind I felt safe thinking oh they can only form on land.

Guess I was wrong! I so don't ever want to see this in person.

That thing is scary!

If more people saw disasters in their element, we would have far more respect for them.

We have so much urban sprawl in these tornado hazard zones, it makes you wonder if it was ever a good idea when we have so many other tornado proof options.
