(chuckles) ..hey don't blame all of us..for the decisions of a few. If the NAU is really going to be happening..its the bases they are setting up..for ..um..all of north america??

This is all for some future positioning power for military reasons.....and I don't think the reason behind it is for a Canadian agenda at all.

I think it has ALL to do with Libya, and having a Canadian commander, setting up a permanent base there.

This is exactly why this year I didn't vote.
I felt like I would be a hypocrit- as I always tell people- your voting for one of two cheeks of same jack ass.
When will people realize voting for the same two parties over again is like voting for the same party over again.

Seriously we need a rude awakening in this country.
How can we be honest with ourselves while voting when the prime minister had someone escorted out of one his rallies because their facebook had a picture of themselves with Ignatiff (his opponent).

As he has his team escort someone who might not allign with him from a rally.

ON TOPIC

Like many people said- what makes us different from any other country doing it.
Personally I would like to see all the jet money- go to some sort of national project.
That we can all take pride in.

Or we could just throw it at our national debt so we don't have to cut transfer payments. On average, provinces dish out at least 40% of their annual funds on national health care services. Privatization of healthcare is on the rise in Canada because of the lack of federal funding towards the provinces, and because the provinces are gaining too much individual power (which they aren't supposed to have for the sake of our confederation).

This is also a goal of the neoconservatives: to destroy nationalized healthcare. We don't really have socialist healthcare, it's just one government insurance company with a national monopoly. However, cutting back on healthcare funding is dividing it into efficient privatized services for those who can afford it, and inefficient under-funded public services for the rest of us.

Underfunding healthcare also drives away doctors and nurses who can easily make more money in private clinics, either domestic or abroad.

$40 billion taken from the F-35 funding and put towards transfer payments and post-secondary education would do this country wonders. Unfortunately, our leadership doesn't want this. They want us weak and unhealthy until we have no choice but to submit and pay up until we die.
