You just don't get what a search/pat down is for do you.
A person can stash something next to their private parts, it happens.
Without searching this area the search is useless.
Yes there are sex offenders sitting in jail but, the big difference is they did NOT get permission to touch.
This woman was standing on the search pad, if she did not want a search most people would say no or back away.
She gave consent.
And yes, people are suspects, not everyone has happy intentions.
And as long as there is the possibility of wrongdoing, there will be some security guard there to shake down your junk.
Because you are subject to the same rules as all of the other poor folk who cannot afford their own jet.

Sure that's the case if i'm in prison or being arrested, basically we are using this post 9-11 world non-sense as a way to make everyone subject to criminal, de-humanizing treatment.

That IS the issue.

There are other ways of handling the problem, as has been well demonstrated for years by Israeli security.

But that would require hiring people who aren't barely fit to work in a fast food restaurant.

Like I said on page 5 and got no real response, if there is so many illegal actions taking place.
The offended folk in this thread have still yet to say why these security guards have not been arrested or charges filed on them.
I'm still curious why none of the offended have figured this out.
Some folk listed tsa guards that were busted for theft, or drugs, or other crimes.
Not one was a search violation.
Are all of the police in on this, is this the big endgame conspiracy?
"Operation Touchjunk".?!
Bottom line, if it is illegal, then why are charges not filed??
Anyone please?

We are a nation of pansies.

Many countries, you get all your bags searched by guys holding locked and loaded AKs.. and here in the states, we freak out at a patdown. We are spoiled beyond belief.

We are omnipotent I guess.. and shouldn't have any security of any kind. We should not have to submit to such horrible things as a patdown! gasp...

People ruled by tyrants, dictators, monarchs, Communists & Socialists expect to be treated like this. We, however once lived in a place called the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave". Those days are gone. Now it is the "Land of the Not so Free and Home of the Not so Brave".
It is not "spoiled" to expect to enjoy the liberties, freedoms, and right to privacy we are guaranteed.
Just because people in other countries have consented to this type of treatment does not mean we have to.

I heard three different TSA agent's say that this " mother and son" have done this before. Meaning the mother has created a scene before. Then you hear the son telling whoever, and even the cop that his mother has never been grouped like that before, Yet there the son is.. He was born correct? I'm not taking sides but I am going with half of what I hear and none of what I see. Fact is. This mother and Son has made a commotion like this once before which leads me to believe it's not the first nor last time this mother and son duo will cause a scene. SWA is 100% in the right in threatening to bar you from their airline. Good day!

I've noticed that even some get a thrill out of this, wherever women are violated when these TSA discussions come up. I could go further into this but it would go off topic. It bothers me to see some men sit behind a keyboard and talk tough, and not really care about the fact that women and little girls are getting violated every day at the airports. We just "deserve it" because we are either too poor for our own jet, we are being silly and emotional, or we just need to take a car.

The fact remains that, this is a humiliating process, and it should not be allowed to continue. Period. And with that I'm done with this conversation because I'm not going to debate about TSA with anyone that clearly hates women to begin with. Waste of time.
I do appreciate your comments. Thank you.

Some of these officers in this video obviously know how stupid the laws are. They seem helpless to do anything though. They simply stand-by idle enforcing corrupt laws with very little enthusiasm.

sorry,but what a drama queen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i

So I guess Rosa Parks should have just gone ahead and given up her seat to some white guy and kept her mouth shut?,...After all we wouldn't want her acting like a "Drama Queen" now would we.

Who is to say what the right response is when your civil liberties and rights are being trampled on by TSA or government appointed goons? I applaud her protests and hope she recovers from whatever mental anguish they caused her.

I think I know the guy you speak of, and I'm sure he does get a "thrill".
Not because the poor women and children Etc. sob sob.
But because some folks cannot see the facts at work here.
Consent is given to search, the tsa said searches will not be pleasant as they are searching, duhh.
Consent means you give up the right.
When you give up your right, you should not scream foul, you gave up.
I choose not to give up my rights so I travel in my own vehicles.
I'm sure some still will not be able to understand this however.

(Edit)
And, if these searches are illegal, why are tsa guards not arrested for these offenses or charges filed?
Is it a US total police conspiracy?

Sadly I dont think there's a way to win this one.

While I personally dont think having my body touched or seen is a big deal at all, since we all have bodies, I can understand why some people dont, but at the same time the day that we defeat the TSA is the day that another false flag 9/11 style attack happens, only to get us clamped down twice as bad as we are now.

I does feel wrong if someone touches you on your private part, for reasons that have nothing to do with sex.
I understand that some react like this mother has done and this child.

I agree. We used to call them our "PRIVATE" parts. I guess now we can officially change the name and start calling them our "PUBLIC" parts.

I have two beautiful daughters, one is still a teenager. She wants to fly to California with her Grandmother to visit her Aunt & Uncle this summer. I shudder when I think of the possibility of some TSA perv singling her out for an intrusive, enhanced, pat down.

Don't forget that one TSA agent was arrested for following a woman into the parking lot and kidnapping her so that he could sexually abuse her. Another was recently arrested for child porn. Not all of these TSA agents are highly trained professionals with stable personalities.

There is a way to stop this. SCREAM at the top of your lungs if your private parts are touched. Believe you me, this would eventually scare the living daylights out fo the TSA....but it has to be done by EVERYONE who is subjected to these types of pat downs.

for all the sheep who would gladly bend over and take it from the TSA for the "greater safety of all", i pose this question:

HOW MANY PEOPLE IN AMERICA OR FLYING ON AN AMERICAN AIRLINE SERVICE HAVE BEEN KILLED SINCE 9/11?

my god how can people just sit back and accept this? damn cowards, the invisible boogie men (or so called 9/11 terrorists, but that's another thread) have won, which is sad to say what you safety nazi's helped give up our rights for; to not let the "terrorists" win

Have you considered the possibility that the hightened level of security is the REASON for the lack of deaths since 9/11?

Again.. many airports around the world have much harsher security. We are "average." There are a few even more relaxed than us (i.e. how we were before 9/11). I remember prior to 9/11 (literally the week before), I was flying out of NY... I had forgot I had a fillet knife in my bag. And it wasn't small.. probably had a 9" blade, was wicked sharp and curved. I thought as I sat in the plane with my carryon containing my knife.. "Huh.. our security kinda sucks." I'm actually pleased the lazy, horrible security is at least heightened to the point where people cannot do this any longer.

Especially these days, when the apparently fashionable way to kill yourself is to kill a bunch of other people first, like that 73 yo man that killed several people just yesterday, before offing himself. Having some security won't kill you. Not having security might.

People are just babies, it's sad to watch.

Israel's security and customs are much much harsher than the USA by a long shot but they don't do these types of pat downs by touching private parts.

one more reason why I'm not flying anymore. Until I can fly without going through this sort of thing, then I'll fly.

She is NOT overreacting! Does not matter what happened at any time in her life, strangers touching all over you is not a natural act often accepted by anyone! Stand strong and tell your mother to do the same for the Constitution is nothing more than scrap paper at this point. The time to STAND TOGETHER IS NOW!

Police officers do this all of the time, in fact they even do strip searches and cavity checks.
Except it is done without consent as the persons they are checking are arrested.
The people getting pat down at the airports are not arrested, so they are asked for consent.
