the Feral [sic] Government has allowed too many agencies to violate and rape the Constitution, and we are not allowed to voice opinion lest we get corralled into a terror watch list. When the elected officials are bought and paid for, creating silly new laws day in and day out slowly choking our freedoms from us, what can really be done?

Texas tried to do something about the TSA, but they were threatened with a no-fly zone, well if all the other states did the same would they establish a nation wide no-fly zone? that would be political and corporate suicide to the TSA, airlines and elected officials backing the infringement of our constitutional rights.

The terrorists really won, we have been told, we were attacked because they hate our freedoms (a silly notion at best) what would cause a terrorist group to hate a country that much???? hah, it's clear (at least to me) that terrorists really had nothing to gain in attacking the US. The feds say we can't let the terrorists win, yet they snag our rights and freedoms away, which I see as catering to the terrorist demands.

Will we ever wake up from this nightmare? I don't understand the reasoning behind the actions taken by our elected...SELECTED officials.

(perhaps I should have started a rant thread with this?)

Here in Australia the only pat downs and strip searches are those in private rooms when they think you are carrying illegal substances.

I remember many years ago coming back from Thailand a Customs officer asked me what I have in my bras? I told him human flesh and Thai sweat but if you want to have a feed my mucas glands are preparing for a bubby in 5 months. He laughed! I walked through, no probs.

My hats off to the lady for protesting the madness in the only way she knows how to.

I don't understand the attitude people have that this isn't helping the situation.

What are we to do? What is the proper way to fight this, there is none, there's no rule book for fighting these faceless entities like TSA.

Frankly i don't have the moxy to make a scene like that, but that doesn't mean i need to take her down a notch for doing what i wish i could.

You know, I've watched all the TSA videos yet I'm still waiting what the tourists are going through. Does anyone know if the tourists to the the USA are prepared for all of this and if they even know their rights?

I'd probably be ok if a woman did a pat down; I'd refuse any man touch me.....but if she touched the inside of my legs in my private area I'd be screaming hell down on the TSA and I'd b alot louder than this woman!

Stand around with cardboard signs being ignored whilst risking death and injury by 'police forces' who will blame you for their crimes.

It is the American way and quite inneffective. It is encouraged because of this.

If that is so, then how do you defend the fact that they are needed??
Is America under such a treat then?

If someone touches my private part unasked, I impulse react by beating the crap out of that person. I better stay out of America

One way to continue is to be the squeaky wheel... as it gets the grease. Another is to make their job more diffucult by asking for them to use new gloves. wear clothing that is harder to get into, the viagra option, and of course pretend you are off balance and actually touch their privates. Of course you maybe arrested for assault... but in return they may have a nice hefty law suit on their hands as well.....

p.s. yes maybe the lady is overREACTING.... but at least she is reacting!!!!

She's over reacting... this was made at the end of last month... really.... first time she's heard of TSA...

She didn't even try to talk to any of the workers, she just kept screaming...

not buying it... sorry

The woman had another option, take her own transport.
Did you forget about that avenue, or just not list as it is too common sense?

Not many people own planes and I fail to see how they can drive over the ocean if you meant she should use her car - US is surrounded by water - take a look. Some people do go abroad.

My ex girlfriend was an emotional dramaqueen. She could go mental if somehing injustice happend.
If you are that sensitive and not used to others touching you, you can go in a panic state.

I does feel wrong if someone touches you on your private part, for reasons that have nothing to do with sex.
I understand that some react like this mother has done and this child.

Pat downs are done for security, I do not need this security as I provide my own.
But, a pat down is done to look for weapons and sometimes drugs, this is what the tsa does, just like a police officer would.
Should police officers stop patting down suspects before they put em in the backseats as to not stimulate a latent memory of your uncle jim?

I know what a pat down is for, but that's not a pat down, that's molestation. As I said, there are people sitting in jail or on sexual offenders list for the same thing that takes place in an airport. This woman was not being arrested for anything. She didn't do anything illegal that warranted a search.

People who want to fly are not suspects.

Or is she simply bringing attention to the problem?

Make a legal ruckus by pretending to be shocked, great strategy. What is happening is in fact molestation.

Is that how you want your mother to be spoken of when she gets her genitals fondled and cries out for help?

Do you regard all loud women as whores? You have no proof that she is a whore, but you are calling this woman one as if you know that she is.

That is slander, is it not? Is that legal in your country?

Thank you. The lack of respect for women in general on some of these posts really bothers me.
2nd.

Disrespect for women is one of the hallmarks of a totalitarian society. Just google it, you'll see.

The instinct to protect women must be weakened, as mistreatment of our womenfolk has traditionally been cause for fighting. Constant and casual disrespect for women's rights helps this weakening of the protective instincts to occur. For this reason it is often encouraged.

You have probably notice that generation y is more misogynistic than their parents who grew up in times were there was more freedom. You can see it on all the forums they inhabit.

While I have no time for TSA, I think this kind of hysterical reaction is going to do nothing to change things. One's reaction should be calculated to be sure but also civil and intelligent. This woman right here is not the one to do it - clearly the lights are on but there's nobody home.

I've been wondering ... Is being patted down really "molestation"? ... Or is it just so in the sick minds of those who keep yelling "Molestation! Molestation! Molestation!" ... Its a security search dammit ... its not as if they are actually fondling breasts and fannies in a sexual manner ... they're checking for hidden weapons and drugs - that's their job ... no?

As I said, just wondering ... and to be fair, one has to look at it from both sides of the coin.

I am sorry that everyone in the US does not have their own airplanes, not everyone is born equal.
But that is not my fault, I don't have an aircraft either.
Nor would I fly this drama queen if I did.
However alot of us do have boats.
Like I say, you get the justice you can afford.
And there are other options to traveling in someone elses vehicle.
And this woman was not "going abroad" she was "just a crazy broad".
So, like everyone else, get your own transport or get in line like everyone else.
You do have the right to travel freely, you do not have the right to travel in someone elses vehicle, that is a priveledge.
