You may be right, but I think when you are talking about only impacting maybe 20-30% of the major banks business you are not talking about bringing down the country. What you will do is force them to divest into some liquidity to try to regain marketshare. You may also see better "deals" given to patrons as they focus more on service and less on pure profit.

If the whole nation followed this plan, it would destroy the world economy. But if maybe 1/4 followed, it may just shuffled some of the money locked up in Wall Street back out to Main Street.

With how much the middle class has shrunk, that is what is really needed to jumpstart our economy: to get enough money into circulation that the middle class is once again relevant.

Well, that and the mass exportation of money to places like India by doctors and Indian business men. That 3rd world nation has improved greatly thanks to US dollars being shipped in by loving family members.

Do you not understand our economy depends on the banks, and oil? Without one of them we're done for. Now the Middle East protests that WE started, and that WE'RE funding, are driving oil prices off the chart, and unions that are in bed with the banks are trying to bring down the banks.

Why isn't this clear to anyone?

This is VERY clear to me. And whether or not the banks are "brought down" is irrelevant in the manner i am talking. I am saying that if we must have the banks, then let us weaken them to reduce influence.

However, since the subject has been brought up, i would rather be "done for". The system we have of fiat debt, along with the fossil fuel energy system, are killing us and have made us slaves. I would happily live like a caveman if it meant i could regain my liberty.

And I'm saying the only way to do that would be to go after the people.

if you can help me find where all the Rothschilds and Rockefellers live, then we can do that.

The only way you will ever get to the people is using a "burned Earth" approach. Burn down their house, and hope they are in it (metaphorically, not literally).

Funny you should mention that. It seems that "TPTB" are "Anonymous", too. At least, in theory. while you can find out the names of most of them, they live in obscurity.

Maybe "Anonymous" is the only way to take them on?

Short of jacking "public" airwaves, the only thing I can think to do is use their own strategy of using internet forums against them. Only on non-conspiratorial type forums though.

I'm also starting to believe Anonymous is another arm of the globalists.

it may be. i think the only way out of this is to teach people how to think, not what to think. schools taught us what to think, and made people stupid.

logic is in short supply nowadays.

Not "downing religion but the formality of it all --- to control -- they tried with you- they do with all ---

They "welcome all" but if you don't fit into their image of "being a good religious person" then you are not welcome. They all DO NOT PRACTICE WHAT THEY PREACH.

Rather than "bringing everyone and everything closer to unit as humans and living creatures on our mother earth -as I do in my teachings, sessions, writings and PRACTICE (I do what I talk about - not "do as I say and I do what I want that most all really do and live) ---- formal religion has very formal methods and procedures to control all! and as they are controlled by man - they are frout with greed, need for power, selfishness and short sighted "solutions" that in reality are the WORST that could be done --- "the higher one goes, the less they really know"!

"I'll also start carrying unwieldy cash and that change that comes with it"

This reminds me of those old credit card commercials where everything is humming along fine with people swiping their cards to pay and then an uncool customer disrupts everything by daring to pay with uncool outdated cash...the nerve. Hey be the first in line to get a chip you will never have to deal with cash again

Let me start by saying that your idea is a great one. Any big change that will ever happen is going to be the result of a lot of people doing a lot of little things. It is definitely all about personal responsibility. If each person in this country did more and more to eliminate their need for the government and corporations to control everything, this county would be a much better place.

The real problem here isn't that the government controls too much or that big corporations control too much it is because they both control too much. The reason that they can and do is because the United States is going through an identity crisis. We are a capitalist nation but in many ways we are also a socialist nation. There will never be a perfect system or society, but having our lives ruled by not one, but two imperfect systems is a disaster. Whose fault is it though?

Many want to blame big corporation or the government but it is really each and everyone of our own faults. We as a people love having those big corporations out there competing. They make new products, refine and perfect existing ones, they provide good jobs, they drive our economy. When things are going good, this is awesome. When things turn bad and the economy goes south, we want the government to fix it all for us. Give us more aid, more welfare, fix the job market, stop my home from going into foreclosure so they take the reigns and run with it. All this money ends up coming from taxes.

This brings us back to the original topic. Everybody needs to take accountability for themselves and quit relying on everyone else to fix their problems for them. We need to vote to change our government and have it whittled down to provide only basic services like infrastructure, defense, and education. This would free us from our tax burden and also free corporations from taxes. This means more businesses can provide more jobs and more people will be employed which would eliminate the need for all of these non-essential government programs.

So to add to the original poster I would say the best things you can do to help this country are to become educated on the issues and vote. Become active in your government. One voice may not be heard but if enough do change will happen. Also, pay off all your debts and live within your means. Make a budget. We are all so entitled anymore thinking that we deserve all the best things right now. That is the real reason for the mess. The big corporations couldn't take advantage of us if we didn't let them.

Stop being the victim and empower yourself.

Great thread and I'm copying your list to post to FB and would suggest everyone else do the same and post to Twitter and your own personal blogs as well. EBomb this message to as many people on your email contact list as well. This could go to literately like 10,000 people before this day is out beyond the ATS membership!

Haven't read all the comments but really good thread, and this doesnt just apply to US but all civilized? societies. I can't help wondering when people are going to wake up and smell the roses!! Hopefully in my lifetime... but you never know. Unfortunately, from my experience, if you are on a low income or some form of benefit your choice is restricted - you want to buy organic and support your local farmers and other traders - but society has tied our hands behind our backs and we just can't afford to!!

Who says there can never be a system that works and why do you feel that money needs to be spent on defense? Is it possible that you haven't yet started looking at the bigger picture?

That should not stop you from doing the right thing! If you are determined, you can always starve yourself to death. That will show them! Just be strong.

OP:

Thank you very much for this post. It is very nice to see some true ideas toward solutions to our problems as Americans. Though I do not disagree with your post completely, I would say that my biggest concern is that if we all partake in these actions that we will only hurt our economy further. A lot of jobs are It would seem to me that we both agree on money being a big part of the problem. Unfortunately, getting rid of money and currency as we know it is generally not considered a realistic solution. Not only does it seem impossible, the alternatives considered usually involve electronic ID cards and other such scenarios which many people find scary.
It's important that we find a solution and posts like this help generate ideas. I have not read all the posts, but I will certainly go back through and read up

Those are truly simple, and truly effective methods. We're only sold what we will buy, so changing the collective consciousness is the only way. And it CAN be done.

I tell you this is so simple. I believe in the KISS method (keep it simple stupid). Very easy to do with no violence. Taxes would still go to the states but not the feds.

America's Tea Party 2011

On this Day think of what we as true Americans CAN do for OUR Country

I, as an american, have been silent too long. I have allowed the Government of this country to become an abomination in the eyes of our great founders. It is because of this silence we no longer have a Government of the people, by the people, for the people. It is time we take a stand together. Just as our Fore Fathers stood together against what they perceived as a tyrannical, unjust Government, it is our responsibility to do the same.

1) I ask that you print off 2 copies of the 2011 form W4 www.irs.gov...
2) Fill out 1 copy and claim 12 dependents on line D. This will not be a lie we taxpayers each support many more than that number in reality.
3) On July 5th when you return to work give this new W4 to your HR personnel or payroll department.

Special notes:

1) Take the additional money you receive on your check and place it in a seperate savings account. At such time as the Government understands that we the People will no longer be held hostage in our own country we will pay what we owe.
2) Remember we are not against taxes just an unfair system and unfair representation by our Government.
3) Anyone who tries to make this a "right" or a "left" political issue is an enemy of the people. We must all stand as one.
4) The second form W4 will be used at such time as the Government has made a concerted effort towards repair of our Government.
5) Money is all the greedy politicians understand so we must show them we do control the money.
6) If we could just see progress towards at least four items from the list below we could use the second form W4 and start the system back up again.

What I would like to see:

1) Put a stop to the revolving door where politicians (or their relatives) serve big business making laws then go to work for them after leaving office, or make money investing in them.
2) Put a stop to Military personnel (or their relatives) going to work with companies they had oversight of while serving.
3) A complete overhaul of the Tax system and plan for a simplified fair tax system. There are too many tax laws with loopholes for big business and the rich. A flat tax system would be nice or possibly a progressive tax system. If you have more you should pay more. Welfare is a problem. Corporate Welfare is an even bigger problem.
4) Stop the war money machine. Too many people are making money while our young men die.
5) Stop making unnecessary new laws and review, and uphold the laws already written.
6) The rights delegated by Our Constitution is for Our Citizens. Although we need to treat others as we would like to be treated we must put an end to illegals demanding welfare from us. We need to take care of our own sick and poor before we destroy America trying to take care of illegal immigrants and other nations. Our Country needs to support other countries to help them to learn how to deal with their own problems. We can no longer take on the burden of other Countries as Our problem.
7) Transparency in Government. It is OUR Government.
8) Our great nation producing goods and fair trade practices being implemented.

I could go on but if Our Government would just make an attempt to act like civilized people who care for their fellow men this action would not be necessary. I believe the time is right for this action. I am tired of the news media being used against us like some hypnotic machine only telling us what it's master manipulators want us to know. I am tired of worrying about "will I have a Job" while I read stories of how much money we promised to some foreign power. I am tired of MY ELECTED OFFICIALS pledging support to countries who openly despise America.

I ask you to please stand with me on this July 4th, 2011 and say enough is enough. All we are asking is what should be taking place in this great country we live in.

Please send this to as many friends as you can and let us all stand together

I would love to be able to sign my name to this but since I no longer trust the Government of the United States I must refrain from doing so. Only a movement will bring Our Great Country together again as it once was.
