So who is this Twitter user that appeared to luck out and sent the only unique RT of Weiner’s image? The Twitter profile claims that he is an individual named Dan Wolfe, and his bio reads: “Conservative Reagan Republican. No Obamacare, socialism, sharia. Proud of the USA & Proud to be an American with NO apologies. No elitists need apply.”
Its not an exaggeration to say that Wolfe is somewhat obsessed with Weiner; a simple search reveals that, since April, he has mentioned Rep. Weiner 287 times via twitter. Reuters' Anthony De Rosa looked at the data for the photo at issue and notes that it doesn’t match previous images uploaded by the Congressman – the type of camera is different, as is the content included.
In fact, in the data for the contested image certain information that would be important for verification – such as the modification date of the image – is missing entirely. source
easiest way to pull off this as a hoax would be if you knew weiner's yfrog email address. email a blackberry pic to that email address with (@subject) in text and you'd create exactly what happened here.
would require no password hacking (you wouldn't even need to know his password to do it).
the chance that somewhere along the way that weiners yfrog address had been leaked? pretty damn high. it would happen if weiner or an aide simply forwarded a pic he emailed to his yfrog account to anyone else (thus showing the yfrog email address in the chain). source

Weiner says, however, that he can't say whether or not that is a pic of him. Which leads me to ask how does he not know if that is him in the pic? Does he take that many pics of himself in the buff that he loses track? If I take a pic of my studly parts, who cares? But he's a U.S. Representative, for goodness sake! He needs to show some personal restraint. After he's out of office he can take all the beefcake pics he wants.
