Every time overunity and "free energy" is mentioned on this forum this is what happens. No critical explanation by the poster, just a blatant spamming of pesn or peswiki links.

Wow, you are extremely rude.

And I can't help it that sites like peswiki are where the action's at. Those guys are the ones who are out there doing stuff. Making progress. Posting regular news headlines.

So-frickin-rree for trying to generate some discussion based on the most recent news in the field

Why have you not built a device yourself and saved yourself tens of thousands of dollars each year in utility bills?

Right, but have you built one yourself? If not, why not? I specifically stated that I wanted to hear why proponents of "over unity" devices have not built one themselves, not inks to websites making unsubstantiated claims.

Why not? Because I'm not an engineer, that's why not.

And I don't have any engineers.

And it's not my job around here to command engineers, that's the Captain's job goddamnit! So take it up with him!

I liken the posting of links to the alleged successful construction of "over unity" devices to Friend of a Friend stories. The common theme of FOAF stories is that the teller swears blind the story is true, but it always happened to a "friend of a friend", rather than themselves:

Urban legends are sometimes repeated in news stories and, in recent years, distributed by e-mail. People frequently allege that such tales happened to a "friend of a friend" -- so often, in fact, that "friend of a friend," ("FOAF") has become a commonly used term when recounting this type of story. Some urban legends have passed through the years with only minor changes to suit regional variations. One example is the story of a woman killed by spiders nesting in her elaborate hairdo. More recent legends tend to reflect modern circumstances, like the story of people ambushed, anesthetized, and waking up minus one kidney, which was surgically removed for transplantation (a story which folklorists refer to as "The Kidney Heist").[1]

It's always someone else, never the teller themselves who has first-hand experience of the story. Just like "over unity" devices, it's always someone else who has successfully built one and taken themselves off the grid, never themselves.

But I thought "big business" was suppressing these devices because anyone could make them, thus big business could not make any money themselves. Your excuse kinda shoots that one down. Why haven't you bought one? Seems like a very sound investment. The plans are there, they can't be that hard. Just go down your local garage/college/polytech and pay someone to build one for you. Again, any expense you would have to outlay would be recouped in the first few months alone...

Did you read the news? Did you look through it? Formulate your own opinion, etc? Try and build one of the devices maybe....

Reposting links offers nothing of use. Especially in this thread, which is asking, if the overunity devices exist, then, where are they?

If and article on peswiki or pesn told you the sky was yellow, would you believe it?

john_bmth, yes, I like your plan!

Yes, buy the technology first, then bring it to the local engineers to play with. A good plan!

And since this is your thread, and you came up with the plan and it is your idea, you are the perfect one to do this!

Make it so, #1!

go!

Yes, boncho. I have read the articles.

And my opinion is that things are progressing along very well indeed.

A top NASA guy endorsing cold fusion, can't get much better than that.

That is my opinion.

Well no, I'm not the perfect one to do this as I do not proclaim that "over unity" devices exist, hence this thread

Come on now, john_bmth

Your zeal for the subject and your tough-talking, no-nonsense attitude have earned my respect and attention.

Which technology would you like to test out for us, john_bmth? Go ahead, pick one!

You have an opportunity to do something real here, friend. Pick a technology, and maybe I will help you get it done. Maybe others will too.....

Again, I feel you are missing a rather large piece of the picture. I do not believe "over unity" devices exist. However, you do, so I am asking why haven't you had one built yourself and saved yourself tens of thousands of dollars a year?

oh what's wrong john_bmth, not so willing to stick your neck out now? Hmm?

Sure, put all the onus and all the risk and all the responsibility on me again, even though it's YOUR thread... that makes sense....

Again, why would I stick my neck out for something I do not believe to exist? I understand that you're trying to use my own argument against me but unfortunately it won't work because I do not believe "over unity" devices exist. Thus, you only serve to clog up this thread with off-topic attempt to try and push the burden of proof into my court.

Fine then. To answer your questions,

Why aren't the believers building over-unity devices and going off the grid? Because:

- it costs thousands of dollars
- it requires engineers, equipment, and a lab or house to build and test in
- it's hard, and there's no guarantee of success
- no one else wants to help
etc

The few people who are willing to try in spite of all these problems and obstacles tend to hang out on sites like peswiki or overunity.com or energeticforums, which are set up specifically for that purpose. You won't find many of them here, yet.

But surely the reasons you give fly in the face of the notion that the reason "OU" devices are suppressed is because vested interests cannot make money out of them? If a home unit costs thousands of dollars, just think how much an industrial unit to power an office block or factory would cost. That would be quite a lucrative industry.

Great, so start up a company and start doing it. Start producing and installing the things for people, see how lucrative it is....

If the technology was real, I'd be there in a shot. Alas, as much as a premium veterany surgery for unicorns may transpire to be, I fear their lack if existence makes the business model somewhat limited.

But how will you know if the technology is real or not?

Which inventors have something real, and which are BS?

Being serious here

This is not true at all. Unlimited energy = unlimited amounts of profit to be realized. Supply and demand controls prices to a degree, but there are many other factors. You are lacking some basic fundamental wit in the nature of business and making money.

My appologies my friend, i was just trying to make a point of how it would change supply and demand based on todays energy/oil companies. If the supply is high, and the demand is is high the price goes down. The more abundant something is the less valuable it becomes, ergo less profit to be made. When Clean energy becomes infiniatly available at little to no cost for production, then people wont be willing to pay as much for it. If someone does try to turn a larger profit on it, someone else will do it cheaper as it an abundant commodity.

There will still be a business for it for sure, it just wont be the huge money making monster that it is today. Thease overunity devices will still need to be manufactured and distributed so jobs will still be avilable. And im sure that someone will improve on the design eventually, and people will want to buy the new more efficient model which will mean more manufacturing.

Initially the demand for overunity devices will be huge, but once the demand has been met, the business will slow down to a crawl untill someone comes up with a better model/idea.

I just dont think the tax man is going to be very happy with people paying just once for energy.

I have never made this one, but it looks simple enough for your approval, since you will not believe my word alone.

www.youtube.com...

In the clip, Steven E. Jones, below is his hood rep with the white coats....

Education

Jones earned his bachelor's degree in physics, magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University in 1973, and his Ph.D. in physics from Vanderbilt University in 1978. Jones conducted his Ph.D. research at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (from 1974 to 1977), and post-doctoral research at Cornell University and the Los Alamos Meson Physics Facility.
Research interests and background

Jones conducted research at the Idaho National Laboratory, in Arco, Idaho where, from 1979 to 1985, he was a senior engineering specialist. He was principal investigator for experimental muon-catalyzed fusion from 1982 to 1991 for the U.S. Department of Energy, Division of Advanced Energy Projects. From 1990 to 1993, Jones studied fusion in condensed matter physics and deuterium under U.S. Department of Energy and Electric Power Research Institute sponsorship. Jones also collaborated in experiments at other physics labs, including TRIUMF (Vancouver, British Columbia), KEK (Tsukuba, Japan), and the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory at Oxford University.
Jones' interests also extend to archaeometry, solar energy, and, like many professors at BYU, archaeology and the Book of Mormon. For example, he has sought radiocarbon dating evidence of the existence of pre-Columbian horses in the Americas, and has interpreted archaeological evidence from the ancient Mayans as supporting his faith's belief that Jesus Christ visited America.

You can do this, coolhanddan?

A test would be a great idea. Suppose you do get something that seems over-unity, people would probably want to double-check and triple-check your work though. Are you willing to make the test results transparent for everybody?
