DHAKA (AFP) – A 40-year-old Bangladeshi woman cut off a man's penis during an alleged attempted rape and took it to a police station as evidence, police in a remote part of Bangladesh said Monday.

The woman, a married mother of three, was attacked while she was sleeping in her shanty in Jhalakathi district, some 200 kilometres (120 miles) south of Dhaka, on Saturday night, officers said.

"As he tried to rape her, the lady cut his penis off with a knife. She then wrapped up the penis in a piece of polythene and brought it to the Jhalakathi police station as evidence of the crime," po

If this story does pan out as a truthful representation of events , I say good for her !

The story goes on to report that " he will be arrested once his condition gets better " , now that's funny . The report also claims that while the guy was receiving treatment at the hospital his penis remained at the police station , imagine that ? Makes me wonder , you think the guy will want it back when the trial is done ?

She was a thinker that lady. Good for her.

She may get some jail time. The case will probably be tossed out of court though. There wont be any hard evidence. If it does go to trial it still may be tossed out if it's a hung jury.

Not sure about the Bangladeshi legal system but I know that there are some countries out there that will in some cases charge the women in a rape case for allowing it to happen . One thing is for sure , this lady wasn't taking any chances . Remember a bird in hand is worth two in the bushel

We cannot jump to conclusions; just because she cut it off, doesn't mean he was necessarily raping her. Women do this things (see the 1990s)
