One of the items I will say I have is a mountain house sampler from Costco.
For $40 US it has 10 pouches of 3,3,2,2 four different style meals.
2 servings per pouch, shelf life till 2018.
2 bucks a serving and would be ideal for a starter or 72 hour kit.
I'll eat these camping, or recreational and rotate em out every so often.

That is an excellent item for folks just getting started. Lasts for years, and if you have to get out of dodge by hoofing it you can carry two weeks worth in a bag and still carry your pack. Also remember they are low in calorie count, so thats the trade off.

Folks in the know stock Wise or other long term meals for the tail end since they go 30 years. For mid term they load canned good for the 6 month to two year period.

But for the right now the same folks keep about two bug out weeks in their bag and add daytrex or other survival bars to balance what the hot meals lack in calories.

so im told....

There are some hilarious responses in this thread

OP, you may be better off researching another forum for discussing your survival goods and surplus. We are all pretty paranoid here

At the same time I will say this....yes this site isn't the most secure, and I'm sure there would be a way for some black hearted Grinch to find out your info and track down your goods....but, I don't think you really have to much to worry about. Although, I would keep excessive firearm talk to a minimum

And to that picture of the gun safe.....

Agreed, it was super cheap, compact and lightweight.
Another good prep is rice, beans and many cans of different flavor soups and or sauces, you get all of your nutrition and are able to have multiple flavors.
The beans and rice can stretch 1 can of soup for a whole family easy.
I do this alot as it is good, especially on a lazy rainy day.

OP, maybe you could change the title to show off your stockpile or possible recommendations, so we stay on topic?

(Edit)
1/4 chubs as well.

I would be certain if the OP was to google it....

There would be a survivalistboards, SHTFboard, or a Zombie Squad board where there are hundreds of pages of picture threads.

Not that I have seen any of that shtf porn, but i'm sure its out there.....

Cause you know I have a wife........ok no thats right....i'm 100% single.....may be that I did peek once or twice when some heavy drinkin was goin on......

In my personal opinion I think this would be an incredibly helpful thread if people contributed. Weather the SHTF or not I know ill have my supplies set and ready to go. Now I'm not going to tell the world where i'm going to go if we start having 1000ft tidal waves and 2012 the movie like disasters but I will talk about some stuff i would want to have if we had such a scenario. For example: Like obvious stuff at least 1 gallon a day of water per person. Plant seeds and Lots of Canned food(everything from The Chef to green beans) and dehydrated foods. Medicines, flashlights with batteries and that shaking flashlight too, gasoline, diesel, propane, lighters and matches, flint stone, Knifes( hunting knifes to swiss army) firearms and ammunition, and all important documents in my life and families life. Maps, Along with some other stuff like cigarettes and alcohol because they will be great for trading, games( board games, horseshoes, cards) for the boring parts of the day, Tools( screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets, pliers, duct tape, electrical tape, gas can) Wires and an alternator to make electricity and USE it. With the ability to generate electricity your not going to be in the stone age living by candle light for 10 years. Light bulbs, radios, and music because life just sucks without music. Books( like how to grow tomatoes for dumdums and how to technical manuals).

Maybe some other stuff but I can't think of it now. But these are some things I have ready to go and some things i'm still working on. If the SHTF I hope somebody will have read this and put something they may have missed into their own stock pile O' goodies.

I'd take a picture of my brain, but that could be painful and I do need it to survive.

If you spend years creating a stockpile, learning, reading, tweaking your stores, why would you go out an tell other people what you have prepared? What benefit could it possibly bring you?

Better yet, when your neighbor has watched his starving kids for a couple weeks, and he decides he is going to take what he and his family need to survive, it won't be stealing, it will be surviving, and who is he going to come visit?

Your right it wouldn't bring any benefit to you, the only thing it would bring is selflessness and
I just have to say that I couldn't watch my neighbors children starve for a few weeks in the first place. If the SHTF i would hope the human race would Love thy neighbor and not everybody live in their huts and when they run out of food they go kill their neighbor and take theirs.

I have my stash of Cheeto's in case the world ends, and I need to maintain my strength for a while in the middle of the wild. I also have a knife just in case I need to cut stuff, though I need to sharpen it.

I have my sword just in case the zombie apocalypse comes, plus I am practicing how to walk and act like a zombie so I can blend in with them and infiltrate there group and take them out from the inside. They will never expect it. Mmmm arrrr brainzz.

I have myself in case the shtf, or some war or more political bull# happens.

And just in case aliens invade I have my trusty towel alway near me.

Off course I might have other stockpiles or not, depends on who's asking. And depending on who they work for, I would have different answers for them.

Stockpiling, storing, SHTF? guns and ammo? come on...BO is going to save us all...
We have nothing to worry about....we are all safe and the government always knows whats best for us, so we don't need to store, stockpile or have guns ...if you believe this take another drink.
