A question about Air Force One

Ok, so I live in Moncton N.B. , Canada and at about 5:15 today my neighbor and our wives were out in the front yard talking. I looked up and saw in the eastern sky a Big Jet flying towards us, not unordinary so far, but then I noticed on each side of the jet we're two smaller jets. I thought , no way!! But I got my binocullars and sure enough the jets on each side were fighter jets. Now this might be a common sight in the states but not on the east coast of Canada. My neighbor was surprised too. It was pretty cool. I doubt if it was Harper, he flys in a military jet and I doubt he would have two escorts, that would probably be half our Airforce, lol. So my question would be was it air Force One and does it always fly with escorts. Anyone.....

the current occupant is so hated he flies with two F15C escorts everywhere he goes...he is hated,not stupid

There are always escorts with our President or VP. Though they are usually in the background somewhere, rarely are side by side. Sounds like it could be a Canadian Air Force photo op. But that's just me speculating.

There is nothing in the news that says Obama is going to Canada. Maybe some other Head of State/Dignitary with CAF escort?

Yea maybe. It was too sunny and I couldn't make out any logo's. Could have been Canadian but my neighbor said the jets we're American by the design. Did no one else see this?

Maybe it was Harper. Now that he has a Majority, he might think he deserves a little pomp.

Thank's for the info blazer maybe it was one of those types of incidences. As of so far today I have heard nothing about what we saw. I don't know where I could search for info on this. I'm going to try and find a site that might identify this plane.
