Anyone else see it?

Bright red in color with a hint of orange. Red light did not blink. It was totally silent but my buddy who has ADD and can zoom in on sounds and block everything else out said he heard it humming. Flying at about the altitude that a helicopter would cruise at, maybe a little lower. It was heading NNE probably flying around 150 mph. I spotted it and we both stood up and watched it and within 20 seconds it was too far away to see. It was flying with a slight incline. 100% not a plane, helicopter, fireworks, meteor, etc. What could it have been other than an alien spacecraft?

Any evidence? Like Video - local news reports etc?

maybe it's something the govt. does not mind you thinking is an alien spacecraft. I'd not be surprised by
anything much these days and there are many plane varieties that I've seen on paper that I cannot recall
seeing flying up there. Just be careful not to get caught up in anything going on that is odd these days.

Ive seen something exactly like what you saw in PA on route one from Philadelphia to Trenton at approximately 2 am late april. I thought it looked like a balloon at first but it was very windy that night and did not move with the wind. There were no jerky movements in the craft. It was definetly powered. It was reddish orange base and a whitish outline much less intense. It was definelty powered as it moved parallel to the highway and did not mimic wind movements. I got out of my car to check. My phone camera was bad an could not get a good video/picture. It was the coolest thing I ever saw.

That's heading away from me (in SW Pennsylvania), but I will head outside and keep an eye on the skies for a little while. A nice quiet night looking at the sky is in order anyway. I have also posted an account of a UFO over PA last october and had no evidence either. I'll believe you, as I know it's hard to always snap the pic or shoot the vid, but that stuff is always nice. Hope the object comes around PA again soon.

I just have a couple questions:

I assume you don't have any video, pictures, etc...from the sighting of this UFO?

100% not a plane, helicopter, fireworks, meteor, etc.

How did you make this determination with 100% accuracy?

flying around 150 mph.

How did you determine (or estimate) it's speed without knowing the size, distance, etc...?

What could it have been other than an alien spacecraft?

Maybe it's just me, but I would think there would be ALOT of things other than an alien spacecraft that it could be!

So...can you help me better understand what exactly I am to guess this was (I make better guesses with more information)?

I'm on the west side of Allentown, and can always follow the planes to the airport. I am always looking toward the sky, but unfortunately saw nothing tonight. I will go back out and keep looking.

wish i saw this thread sooner I would have walked outside and checked, im also in bethlehem PA. honestly dude I dont doubt what you saw because ive been seeing a couple of strange things happening in the skies here, the other day i was enjoying a smoke in the back of the restaurant i work at on a fairly cloudy day and i noticed 4 or 5 faint circular orb lights almost swimming behind one another making what seemed like an S or figure 8 pattern from within a cloud. Now im familiar with air port lights beaming off cloud s and the new casinos lights but i can safely say it was neither, I even called out another employee to see what he thought and we were both just stumped. sadly i dont have a pic so you can take it with a grain of salt.

I didn't know people with ADD could select things to concentrate on. Interesting. Red and orange sounds like fire. Could it have been a flare or shooting star?

Well then you would assume wrong...I am just trying to understand how to eliminate possibilitys that it is not something other than the posted question...what else could it be?

This sounds really intelligent!

It was about the same size you would expect a low flying hot air balloon to be. But it was moving way too fast, and the brightness of the lights was not something that occur with a hot air balloon. Also the humming my friend heard, etc. It wasn't a hot air balloon. Either an alien controlled spacecraft or some sort of top secret military aircraft...but if it was military why did they make the light so bright as if they wanted to be seen, and better yet why was it flying around in Bethlehem, PA?

I also have a phone camera but it's not the best quality (iPhone 3G).

Is Bethlehem in one of those UFO hot zones? I remember seeing a photo (or possibly a short video animation) of Earth with parallel lines across it the TV show oAncient Aliens on the History Channel. Basically there are certain areas on Earth which are hot spots for unexplained UFO activity. And those spots can be sort of charted by parallel lines and nodes, I think they theorized that the UFOs used Earth's magnetic field to travel inside the Earth's atmosphere, and that's why certain areas are hotter than others. Can anyone get that Earth photo with the hot spots parallel lines? I think I remember a hot spot being just south of me, but can't remember for sure.

Way too bright, large, fast moving, and the duration it was in the air was way too long to be a falare. We stared and watch it head NNE with a slight incline for about 20 or 25 seconds before it was too far away to see. I'm not exactly sure what shooting stars look like but I don't think a shooting star would make a humming noise, be traveling at a slight incline, or be bright red in color. Although it was bright red with a hint of orange, it looked nothing like the appearance of fire. When I was watching it seemed like it was just effortlessly hovering.

I know I must sound like a broken record, but can you please elaborate on how you were able to estimate the altitude?
