US maglev?

I found nowhere to ask such question in this forum, so I have to post here.
Here is the pic I caught it from Sylvester Stallone's Assassin (1995).

In this picture you can see clearly that rail structure US subway formed just same as maglev Chinese built in ShangHai Pudong district.
I am not able to see through this aerial subway inside so that how can be possible a train sit on mono-rail and not fall down by H girder which would be forced a tremendous torque while the train made a turn to change its direction I wonder.
Most subway I saw are bi-rails. Only maglev use mono-rail. Does that mean American has already used maglev whereas Chinese not the first to run maglev?

It just looks like a monorail to me. They don't fall off the H beam because of the wheel system used.. not a lot different to a roller coaster in a way.

Maglev is a long way from being in service at the moment, although there are some spectacular experimental units in different countries.
