Not a place to live for me indeed. No way. Listen, if you want a freedom emigrate to Venezuela or Libya untill is time...

Kim Chong Il has to be laughing while seeing THIS. Russians got excited and maybe feel little more inspired again.
Maybe even Taliban would let you alone and dance.
You know what is most
?
When you have to see and hear than hypocritical talking head of Hilary prattling about lack of freedom in the world.

Well - what would be good if we could establish a LAW for tracking members of law enforcement with a history of brutality - and require them to file a report to the city/county council for ANY job that they take - just like sex offenders.

Moreover, when specific officers are caught on video engaged in obvious police brutality - or even just make themselves out as complete buttwipes like Officer Bubbles in Canada - just like they use social networking to keep track of us, makes it just as easy to keep track of them to file grievances and petitions to their employers for hiring dirt bags.

The more we are able to enforce "our laws" - and to make it painful for police officers to abuse their authority, the more likely internal police dept/organization efforts will engage to instill some civility into them.

Important to understand that these are usually regular average day people just like everyone else - they have emotions. Carrots and sticks. Bring good attention to the good cops, bring hellacious attention to the bad ones. We are not defenseless. However, we do fight amongst ourselves a lot - so the more that we can cooperate and set aside differences, the more we are able to accomplish in these regards.

I posted this on another thread that was started about this. I still am not buying this... not one bit.. It seems scripted. And the guy with the industrial size movie camera just hangin around seem eh too.

This is a joke... The acting is horrible. Furthermore if this was to be true I would hope this would be the quintessential straw that broke the camels back.

Like at 2 min 15 seconds that choke slam would get the guy in the DisObey shirt an easy 60-100k in court for excessive use of force... no way this is legit...

A protest is a protest.

Stop with the politically correct BS.

Next you will say the Boston Tea Party was the wrong way to protest?

And again . . . you would be condemning the Boston Tea Party if it happened in our time.

Sad state we live in these days.

It's funny to me how people with an agenda do these type of demonstrations and then you guys play right into their hands. Should the guy be arrested for dancing? I think not. Should he be arrested for inciting a public disturbance? I most definately think so. If somebody wants to stir up some kind of trouble for publicity the police will almost certainly comply to grant your wish. Each is no better than the other in my book.

One thing's for sure. You guys in America think you have it bad, here in the UK you can be threatened with prosecution if you even display our own national flag in Pubs or on Private Cabs. Hell a guy even got arrested for 'drunk driving' in a children's toy not too long ago. Unfortunately hundreds of other examples over the years of 'power tripping' little Hitlers forgetting what their job entitlement is.

For thoe that didnt know it was here,why?..How?...you obviously are aware enough to go to sites like ATS.....the rule of thumb out there in the real world is a cop tells you once and either you comply or you get whatever they fell like dishing out....now whether you fell like what you are doing is legal,or the cop cant tell you to do that...all that is moot once he tells you to whatever...stop,cease,leave,...once he speaks, you get to choose....right then....do I let them arrest me and abuse me and pay a lot of money to make a point,or do I comply?....If you leave, you can call in later and complain....or you can tell the judge why you did what you did...guess how far that will go?...pick your battles...there is a time and place

I don't think the first amendment has a clause for preservation of a monument, or clause for when and where.

The First Amendment doesn't say anything about not yelling fire in a crowded theater either. I think we'd all agree that that's not a good idea though.

I agree.

I also disagree with the USSC on this issue.

But that is neither here nor there.

We are talking about dancing and/or demonstrating at a public monument, not watching a movie

This is a reply to RedRose from the other thread.

You are right... This is insane. WTF is going on? Someone needs to organize a flash mob at the Jefferson Mem... now that would be a good time

Are you kidding me? If any security police read this, what in hell possesses you to act like a total doorknob? If it's money you want, don't whore yourself out.

I am in no way for a Police State, but I am also not for radical leftists whose mission in life is to create chaos and start socialist revolutions. They are as anti-American as it gets. That is the plain truth of this matter. I was reading today that at the Kent State riots, there were communist agitators wearing white armbands who were herding the crowd from the perimeter and pushing them into the police bayonets. Don't be fooled by these wolves in sheep's clothing. Oh and it was SDS(Students for a Democratic Society) and Weathermen Underground involved at Kent State, and Code Pink is teamed up with Bill Ayers too. Soros funded.
edit on 29-5-2011 by ThirdEyeofHorus because: good thing I reread my posts to make sure they are accurate

According to the founding fathers of America, it is our duty to start a revolution when corruption is present. That is the very definition of being Pro-American. That is the very definition of "U.S. Patriot." The U.S. was founded on revolution. It was that very principal that allowed us to exist in the first place.

But you know, I guess... You don't want a police state, but you are acting Anti-American, and labeling the definition of Patriot as Anti-American, it sure shows that you are actually in FAVOR of a police state.

Hey, you got friends that think like minded like you? Oh, you do? Gather them all up, and have a party at your house celebrating your mindset and do us all a favor will you? Spike the Punch with Drain-O so we can get rid of your kind.

I don't believe in Violent Revolution. What Code Pink is doing, is NON violent(Not that I agree with their stance in many occasions, because I don't.... but that is beside the point.. I'm allowed that freedom to not agree with them...) The only people engaging in Violence is the police state of America. If standing up for our rights as Americans is counter to the police objective, then yes -- it's instigating.... In the eyes of only the police state. If we didn't do such things, we wouldn't have freedom. Period.

Can't you see how much we have lossed in the last 11 years? This is because nobody "instigated" and as a result they figure they can do what ever they want.

Please, Americans, make a date and go to that memorial in the hundreds of thousands and dance your hearts out. For the love of your country. Show that such pointless laws need not be.

Give me a break. These people KNEW that they were going to be removed for dancing, and they act like they're innocent. They are definitely protesting within the memorial, so the only problem I see here is the physical nature of the arrests.

Can you walk into a school or a hospital and protest like this? No, I seriously doubt that you could. There are places to protest and places not to protest. There's no reason to disrupt people from enjoying a national monument.

How exactly is dancing ruining it?

How exactly is freedom to assemble peacefully and freedom of speech ruining the supposed memorial of the champion of freedom of speech and freedom to assemble peacefully?

This is not a school, it is not a hospital, it is a statue, a monument. Are you serious? How does dancing somehow stop others from "enjoying a national monument"?

Umm... Just for the sake of argument, I happened to see this thread before going to the movies....

I'm on my way to go now, I plan to pick a crowded movie... I fully intend on screaming Fire. I'll let you know what happens in about 4 hours when I return.

Adios.

Most of them are acting under some part of "disorderly conduct"...or "failure to comply" statutes....all your arguments about rights and freedom become moot at the point when the officer tells you to do something....about 10 seconds after he speaks you belong to him for whatever he wants to do....so if you go there with the intent of doing something so you can stand on your rights, dont come back on here and say"see what those cops did to me"...that only counts if you didnt ask for it first....
