I'd like to know why this is being done by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) and the Homeland Security Investigations unit. Are they confusing Pirates (arrrrrr) with Terrorists?

This got a laugh out of me. But my thought as to why ICE and HSIU are involved is to also cover the bootleg items that come from over seas. I'll do some checking into it once the little one finally goes to sleep lol

Well the headline on msnbc.com was:

US goes to war against digital pirates

I know its been already talked about many times. It might be a matter of time when you actually get charged for things now or google may actively filter results.

What if it became illegal to even search for pirated stuff music movies etc..

Government warns even first-time offenders breaking copyright law "will face up to five years in federal prison."

5 years for a first time offense. Now corporations can have the right to donate money to congress. Looks like the companies have more rights than the citizen. If companies want to be treated like a person, they should be held accountable for murder as well.
