My latest painting, first time sharing with you guys.

Hi, First piece of artwork I've shared on this site. Just finished this tonight. This is for one of my friends. I used acrylics on canvas yada yada. Havn't painted in over a year and this was my first painting of a doggy!

Love to hear your thoughts or anthing I could do to improve this? I'm very impatient when it comes to artwork though, I'm engrosed for a few hours then struggle to get anything finished lol.

I spent the morning painting and dying fabric, I am making "special places" for children to play in by decorating mesquito nets, roofing and trimming them in dyed fabric, and decorating them with painted and embroided flowers and bugs, fish and dolphins, angles and faeries, etc.

It's good to be doing art.

Damn! Looks just like the Mona Lisa, but with better hair! Oh wait....

Seriously though; good work. As an artist myself I'd say you did a splendid job. I'm big on acrylics too. Have you ever tried using them as a watercolor substitute? You'll find they're a far richer medium, and far more managable.

thanks and ooo I havn't tried that, I will have to have a go. I always struggled a bit with watercolour, always wished there was a ctrl+alt+del when doing it hehe
