Hippos cannot swim. Their feet touch the bottom so that their head can be above water, or when they're submerged, they hold their breath and walk on the bottom, and surface for air.

Captain Cook wasn't the first person to stand on the Australian Continent. Dutch explorers were on the Western Australian coast well before.

From Wiki.. yeah I know we don't trust wiki as a good source...

The first documented and undisputed European sighting of and landing on Australia was in March 1606, by the Dutch navigator Willem Janszoon aboard the Duyfken.

Followed by Dirk Hartog in 1616 at Shark Bay, Western Australia.

Also, it is possible the Egyptians may have arrived on the Queensland Coast.. based on a find in the 90's of a large silver wine ewer buried in silt. It has been dated to the Egypto-Grecian period.

1. Less than 50 USA Zip Codes are palindromic, the same forward or backward.

2. While animals sweat, humans perspire. Take note of the many TV personal hygiene product advertisements that are ignorant of this fact and chuckle.

3. You can lead a horse to drink, but you can't make him water.

4. Many think that rock star David Bowie is in the 1,000,000:1 club of folks born with two different color eyes. Wrong! David suffered a accidental childhood trauma to one eye while playing with a mate. The mishap left that pupil permanently fully dilated.

5. #3 is just a bit of humor

He was the first reported person to singlehandedly stand on all continents in a lifetime, not the first person ever to step foot on them

Contrary to popular belief, we use 100% of our brain. We just use 10%-20% at a time. Sometimes more with complicated cognitive challenges.

Blue eyed people have a higher tolerance for booze then brown eyed people.
This applies to anybody with lighter eye coloration like hazel.
SO if you have brown eyes don't get into a drinking contest with somebody that has blue eyes.
