Interweb Trolls, Sheeple, Disinfo Agents and You?

When some people speak the common sense of the situation, they have to be disinfo or sheeple. Some people cannot take the doom, i'd rather be a sane and blissful sheep then woody Harrelson from 2012, see my point ?

As I sit here with my 13 or so posts and pm's that I can't reply to because I haven't posted enough, I offer myself as a prime example of another large group, Lurkers. Lurkers sit on the side lines watching the sheeple, trolls and frustrated thinking, reasoning contributors without doing much in the way of contributing themselves.

Whilst it's possible that all lurkers are merely saving their fingers from the arduous task of typing and inevitable wearing away that may follow, the more usual explanations for this behaviour are:-

A belief that everyone else is too stupid to actually bother communicating with
Extreme shyness
Inability to cope with the stress of being proven wrong
Dislike of confrontation
Fear of accidently revealing you're female to a crazed acne ridden psycho
Extreme laziness
Fear of accidently revealing you are a crazed acne ridden psycho

Which one or more is my reason? :s

I keep trying to be a better troll, but I end up being too polite.
That's my damn upbringing, I guess.

I believe it's #5, "Fear of accidently revealing you're female to a crazed acne ridden psycho", which you just accidentally revealed. This means, of course, that now I have to put out this big cigar, and go hunting for my Big Tub O' Chocolate so I can get my acne properly raged up again.

Then I'll have to figure out how to get that cigar lit again. Bother.

Life as a Disinfo Agent isn't as glamorous as I thought it'd be...

That, sir, is the single most dangerous type of troll there is. How in the devil can one go in, guns a-blazing, when the troll is being so damned polite about shredding your entire world view? It makes one look like a Neanderthal.

I try not to get "trolled"...sometimes I'm not on the ball till I realize "hey, dummy...your getting baited."

I put up a thread a month or so ago and I think I called in every progressive nut job in a 4 country area!

and I wasnt even trollin...at least not intentionally.

I see some of these newbies that are a week or month old come up with some crazy stuff just to piss off folks.

Troll, Disinfo, or sheeple. No idea. After the "sock puppet" thread, I do think there are several out there. While trying to figure out if it is a SP, I put something random at the end or the middle after making the point. Just to gauge a reaction.

Thanks to our some of our ever vigilant mods (they know who they are), they always F' it up.

I guess its similiar to doing an experiment with an over active chaos factor

Thanks for another fun read.

As Blaine has stated, i think we can all be accussed of being all of the above at some stage.
I for one could be accused of at least 2 of the 3 of the above as many others on ATS. I just haven't worked out the Dis info agent yet, Or have I??????

I think i have the sheeple personality worked out.
As I agree with everyone of you all of the time unless someone tells me to disagree. Is that what i was meant to say? I sure hope so.

I think Slayer is a governmental worker, nothing of what he claims it true, he has not backed up any of his claims and never has, just read his posts. Believe everything he doesn't say, not what he say's.
Only an uneducated person would believe him.
And i have no evidence to back up my claims though, so just believe me, OK ! :lol

So, once i work out how to be a disinfo agent then lookout

I have ran into Sheeple,Dis info agents and Trolls, i have even eaten the troll bait on many occasions, and i have been fined and suspended for doing so, but i have to admit it was tasty and fun, and i will keep offending others if i think it is necessary, I will call a spade a spade even if some call it a flat ended shovel.
I wont be a sheeple nore will i become a troll or agent, I will just be me,
If that offends others then so be it, i wont change for anyone or anything unless i want to.

Sometimes it seems like people log in ticked-off -- like they are already angry, or hugely annoyed, and figure they will come take it out on others here. *Displaced Aggression* if you will.

The boss jumps on a guy at work, who then goes home and jumps on his wife, and she, in turn takes it out on the kids, who then take it out on the dog. The dog goes out and bites the mailman.

The mailman goes home and logs onto ATS.......

Oh my, I almost forgot about Penny Arcade's formula for internet people, and it's one of the best all-encompassing images on this whole subject. It's also hilarious.
