A sequel to the 1980 Flash Gordon film

So I have talked with people about a new Flash Gordon movie and people have sugested a sequel rather than a remake. Who thinks this idea might work? I was thinking of a title like: Flash Gordon And The Return Of Ming. This doesnt seem to be in the works at hollywood yet from what I know but if they made one this decade it could be a big hit like other comic book movies that are being made today. The ending of the 1980's Flash Gordan film does call for a sequel.

That movie was so bad it was entertaining. I propose SyFy fund ithe sequel as they excel at bad, but entertaing B-movies.

So they are going to make a new one! That's good to hear. I hope its a good one because i loved the old one. Is it a sequel or something different? I guess we will half to wate and see.
