Capitalism works.
Socialism does not work.
Which one do want???

You keep throwing out all of these opinions without any backing and claiming them as fact.....I keep hoping I will see you back up any of your claims.....you ignore those that counter you and expect your little quips like "carville thinks so" to stand as actual reasoning behind your statements.

alas, these threads always go the same way. "I'm right everyone else is wrong. The person I like is the best. The person you like is awful. " and Blah blah blah blah.

This thread is a joke.

So anyway...... Which one do you want?
Capitalism
Socialism
or the George Soros Solution?

Why in the world would anyone consider electing someone for public office who quit on the people who elected them in their previous post? Absolutely disgusting.

It's only a highly polarized electorate that allows extremist candidates like Sarah Palin to even get close to the idea of thinking that it would be sensible to run for President.

The Republican field is in complete disarray. When candidates like Sarah Palin start looking good, you've got to wonder what mainstream Republicans are thinking.

It's amazing that the Republican party has moved so far off to the right, while ignoring all their more centrist members who are actually the bulk of the party. The far right has completely hijacked the press where Republicans are mentioned. The candidates / members with centrist views are told that they are "socialists", even though they are more in keeping with true Republicanism than the far right.

If you vote for one of these far right candidates, you'll get what you pay for.

If you're unemployed, don't make more than $1 million a year, collect ANY sort of Government benefit including Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security, there is absolutely zero reason that you should vote Republican given the ideas of the current candidates. Of course, most people don't pay attention to the issues, they just blindly vote one way or another each time regardless of who the candidate is or who the issues are.

I think about all the people that were on unemployment last year wondering about whether or not it was going to get extended by Congress. It was obvious that Republicans were going to fight the issue. Over 10 million unemployed (officially). Unofficially, the numbers are much higher than that. If all those unemployed people had of voted Democrat, Democrats would have won Congress in a landslide. Anyone unemployed who voted Republican or didn't vote at all absolutely deserves to lose their benefits.

Anyone on Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security absolutely deserves to have their benefits cut if they vote Republican.

The title of this article should really be:

The GOP has just found a way to hand Obama a second term!

So.....you can't even choose?
Now it's all making sense.
You can't even talk about it now.

Drop the self-righteous attitude.

Come on. Make the choice. - Capitalism or Socialism or the Great and Powerful
George Soros Solution?

No 'pure' system works well. The Soviets had their own demise, and we are all witness to our own issues. I'm not to profess the solution at all, however I think we call can agree that the way things are going right now people are not happy with.

Again, learn what those two things are, and I will gladly discuss it with you. You obviously have NO clue on the subject.

Yes, we need a capitalist in the White House.
There is still time to clean up the Obama mess.
Which choice would Ross Perot make?

So tell me, who was the last capitalist that we had in the WH?

Capitalism only works in a good economy if you have socialism to balance it out. In a bad economy, Capitalism is a disaster.

Capitalism. September 2008. GE, GM, Chrysler, Lehman Brothers, Meryll Lynch would have all been allowed to collapse. Capitalism does not allow for Government intervention in business or bailouts. Under Capitalism, the strong survive, everyone else gets thrown under the bus.

Oh, under Capitalism, no intervention of the Dow Jones by the Federal Reserve to instil confidence back into the market place. The Dow Jones would be at about 2,000 right now under Capitalism.

No Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, 40 hour work week, vacation time, company funded benefits of any kind under Capitalism. What would you have? Child labour, 12 - 16 hour work days six days a week, minimum wage for everyone (no overtime either), no company benefits of any kind, no vacation time (at all) other than Sundays off, very little home ownership, no luxury of any kind as (1) you can't afford it and (2) you have no time to enjoy it.

The last time we had true Capitalism in the Western World, it was called the Industrial Revolution. Didn't work out too well for ANYONE who wasn't part of the richest half a percent of the world.

Personally, I really, really don't want to return to that.

No thanks.

I'm not really sure why I would care what opinion Ross Perot would have. Our 'total' system is so rife with corruption from top to bottom that before you start, coming up with the proper solution is a monumental task.

Besides the fact that corporations are the 'real' power in our country, we are faced with being able to govern areas that government has no place, and not being able to govern where we should.

The biggest problem, is our elected officials are little more than puppets to the people that finance them to get into power. If we could first fix this issue, then maybe we could start to address the laundry list of issues currently facing our own problems.

Fact of the matter is, whether you are in the 'left', 'right', or 'middle', there are few people happy with the direction we are heading in, but we are all willing to shovel blame to whoever we feel are responsible.

Same liberal professor? So, you know nothing about me but assume that A) I am liberal, and B)I went to college.

Well played there, truly showing your lack of reasoning skills.

I dont need to drop anything.

So, again, tell me who the last true capitalist that we had in the WH was.

She is such an attention ho...und.

She cost McCain the election (in my mind at least).

That being said if she does become POTUS it will be the start of a great adventure for me. Why? because I've always said it she somehow became President I would move to another country.

I'm not joking either.

I just re-read Ross Perot's book United We Stand. I really liked and agreed with half of it. In truth I actually voted for him.

So who would Ross Perot vote for?
Sarah Palin - Capitalist
or
Obama - Socialist - (currently masquerading as a capitalist)?
