She did quit her Governor's job after all, so does she really have what it takes to be in the most high stress job on the face of the planet? Sure, there are perks to the job like travel, wonderful vacations, meeting interesting people, etc. but I don't think I could do the job. No, I know I couldn't do the job. I'm much too private of a person and have no interest in being photographed a million times, be under constant scrutiny, having to be in the limelight and having my life and children's lives and loved ones at risk. Think about that one for a minute; it's a dangerous job as well.

Nice how you and your friend continue to drop in on the same threads to trash posters without ever directly defending your hero and his policies.

Last I checked, this thread was about Palin...so save yourself the trouble and stop posting off-topic posts

I also think it's hilarious that the other poster pointed out that you can't really defend Palin (or the stuff people accuse her of), and your only "defence" is to attack Obama. And of course you go right ahead and prove him right by doing just that

Seriously, anyone taking that women seriously, or anyone who believes she's interested in anything but money is delusional.

Since I already addressed your other fantasies in the U2U exchange we had, let me just thank you for proving my point. This thread is about Palin. What I have presented are facts about Palin. You respond by talking about Obama.

Exactly as I said you specifically would do. You came to this thread about Palin, responding to me to falsely claim Obama is my hero for no reason other than because I have negative things to say about Palin and then tried to dismiss my character based on your false premise that I do not defend my hero.

You just did exactly what I said you would do. You get that, right?

You got me!! I think you have subliminally programmed me.
Just a playing into your greasy hands. You are so right about me. Not bad for such a newbie here on ATS? Eh Cindy? Adevoc? Runaway? or whoever you are today.

Cheers!

That's my take as well, she seems to be about making the money. All the books she "wrote" and speaking engagements were not for the better good, they were about her bank account. In my opinion, she's one of those people who started out good and got lucky and took advantage of the opportunity to cash in. Not saying she's a bad person but I don't want someone like that to be the leader of my country. It'd be nice to get a person in who has a genuine concern for the well being of this country and would actually not sell out to the corporations and stay true to themselves. Wouldn't that be refreshing?

A little snap from the Bimbo Bus Tour. Interesting choice of bling while visiting the Statue of Liberty:

Is it normal for a person of one faith to wear the symbol of another religion? I don't recall that necklace when she was hanging out with the Bikers.

Perhaps there is some deep reason I'm missing. Is it that Jews are supposed to convert to Christianity in order to facilitate the Apocalypse? Honestly, could someone enlighten me on this? Thanks.

She probably just thought it looked pretty, wouldn't be surprised if she didn't even know what the symbol stands for

Or it's nothing but a cheap attempt to try and get some Jewish followers...

Who cares? I stopped asking myself why she does things a long time ago...it's mostly for the money, or completely nuts reasons.

She takes a trip in a giant over the top patriotically decorated bus, funded by her multi-million superpac, and calls it a "family vacation". She didn't announce she'll run, yet uses superpac money that's traditionally used to fund campaigns. At the same time, she complains about a lack of funds to pay for all that expensive fuel. And her solution? Drill more...which is going to lower the price of gas only in the short term (aka less than a year).

So it's basically a campaign-money-funded family vacation where even millions in funds can only barely pay the fuel for her single bus!!

How anyone can take that woman seriously is beyond me. It's sooooooooo blatantly obvious that she only cares about the money...yet some fools still pretend she stands for something other than greed. It's really quite sad...

You never fail to impress. Fortunately, the explanation for the Star of David pendant is quite simple and meaningful considering the political climate in a specific region of the world.

Mrs. Palin told reporters who asked about the prominent Jewish star pendant that she was trying to highlight the day during the 1967 war when Israel captured East Jerusalem, uniting the city under Israeli control.

"Today is the 44th anniversary of Jerusalem being reunited. We want to call attention to that," she said, according to several news reports.

The Six-Day War commenced June 5, and the Temple Mount fell under Israeli control on June 7. Under the Hebrew calendar, though, it synchs up as June 1 and was celebrated by Israelis on Wednesday

www.washingtontimes.com...

I'm sure her wearing the Star of David is meant to be a direct hit at a certain somebody sitting on a high horse in the Oval Office.

It's also not the first time she has worn this pendant!! I can't remember if she was picked on back in March when she visited Israel. Wouldn't it be neato if this pendant was given to her as gift during her trip? I think so!!
www.dailymail.co.uk...

Let's just call it simple symbol Solidarity between a Christian and those of Jewish Faith. It's the faith the binds people you know.

Not sure who you're quoting with that last statement. Certainly not me. Probably you. Observing Jerusalem Day is a tough concept to grasp around ATS so I will give you a little slack on the topic of solidarity. I know you would prefer to just shake your fist in the air to show your solidarity for the progressive cause du jour. You should visit Greece. I hear its just a hoot this time of year.

Thanks for the backstory.
Now that you mention it I seem to recall the POTUS discussing the relevance of events in Israel in 1967. What a symbolic and selfless gesture to go to all of the trouble of wearing a piece of jewelry to commemorate such an event. I give her props despite those who feel she has no grasp of foreign affairs.

I don't suppose that traveling in New York which has a fair amount of those practicing the Jewish faith was a factor at all. Nah. Interesting she also pandered commemorated the solemn Memorial Day Rolling Thunder event by wearing Black Biker Leather. No doubt the woman is a snappy dresser and knows how to blend in to any crowd.

But seriously thanks for the background info. I saw some of that later after I posted the screen cap. Seems I was a little ahead of the story.

Do you think she'll also wear necklaces showing solidarity with other nations the US is friendly with? What about wearing a necklace showing solidarity with Saudi Arabia?

It's another country for crying out loud. How many non-Americans do you see wearing US flag pins to commemorate the end of the civil war for example?

If you seriously believe she does it for any other reason than to get Jewish support you're delusional

Nah, not SA. But she might wear a Union Jack. She definitely won't be waving a Mexican flag like so many libs do.

Well, I see plenty of non-Americans wearing flag pendants, and saying the pledge of allegiance. Good thing, too, since Obama seems to have an aversion to those gestures.

If you seriously believe she does it for any other reason than to get Jewish support you're delusiona

Wow! You figure that out all by yourself? And Sarah is the first and only politician to do such a thing?

At least she's sincere.

Where'd you study geography, MD? Her actual quote was ""They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska."

Is that true, MD? yes or no?

You have got to be kidding me...Katie Couric and Matt Damon?

Yeah, there's a couple of mental giants!

All she did was ask where Palin gets her news from (which is important given the nonsense she shouts around), and Palin couldn't even answer a simple question like that. Why? Because who cares about news and facts if you can just make stuff up....like she does?

And Matt Damon was spot on, I wanna know too if she really believes dinosaurs roamed the earth 4,000 years ago...and yeah, I wanna know because if she ever turns out to be president, she'll have the nuclear codes. And if she's lunatic enough to take the bible literally, I wouldn't want her to have those codes...just like I don't want the crazy guy on Times Square to have them

i saw that interview, lol, kouric asked her "do you read magazines?"

like if i asked you "when did you stop beating your wife"

besides being a total dumbum question, she is out of a job, no?

who is matt damon? i am american. i don't know who he is. and why does he have that weird stuff on his mind?

i should care why? as much as i know you guys?

why don't you try to put your hands on her.

Obama appears to handling the stress just fine.
Apparently, the solution is to camp out at the nearby golf course.
How many games of golf has Obama played since January 2009?
------------------------------------------
Gov. Sarah Palin is the lightning rod of the Republican Party.
With the unemployment rate at 9.1% and rising Americans will be voting against Obama.
She will be walking right into the White House no problem.
-----------------------------------------
What was that quote from James Carville? Oh yeah, " It's the economy stupid."
There are 2 more quotes from James Carville. "Gov. Sarah Palin is compelling."
and then there was " This poll says 55% of Americans think Obama is a socialist."

Socialism doesn't work.

Nice reference to Krauthamer. He is certainly one of my favorites he speaks with honesty including his words about Palin. I don't know what she is up to. I do hope she has fun keeping the press swarm guessing about her next move. As far as her foreign policy expertise goes... she might just be a couple of points higher than our current National Admistrator in chief.

She is good at rallying and getting attention. It's time to put the nations attention back on the constitution.

and self reliance. :
:

charles has an intellectual bias, i'm a fan, he is a brilliant guy.

but he still recognizes her as a force and maybe he is bucking for a post?

if brain power were all that it takes to be POTUS

then we just give IQ tests to anyone and winner takes all.

like comic book guy or www.marilynvossavant.com...

she is hot too.

it takes more than brains to run a company or a country or live in this world.

gates had his dad's firm as his legal council, he would have been not as successful as he is.

it's who you surround yourself with that makes a winning team. a leader knows what his people can or can't do,

use any analogy you want, sports, commerece, fishing, bowling, O.J.

Gov. Sarah Palin took a shot at Krauthammer.
He said she can't win.
So Sarah called him a "hoity-toity ,cocktail swilling, Washington establishment elitist."

--------------------------------------
The truth is Gov. Sarah Palin CAN win the presidential election.
It is called a protest vote.
When unemployment climbs back up to 10% the American people will be looking for change.

Charles Krauthammer repeated those exact words on the The Factor with Bill O'Reilly.
Bill also got a kick out of the "hoity-toity " part.
-------------------------
BTW, Sarah is right.
Those inside the beltway elitists are conveniently ignoring the possibility of a - protest vote-
"against" Obama and therefore "for" Gov Sarah Palin.
