One of the proposals, by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, would ensure that required hazard labels and classifications in the United States are the same as those used in other nations, which could save companies $585 million a year.

Smart. This is the type of waste that needs to be eliminated.
This is a good way to meet in the middle, without raising taxes and angering the companies, but not increasing government spending.

The departments of Commerce and State will undertake steps to make it easier for U.S. companies to export products.

This has been a focus of the Obama Adinistration from the beginning. It is import for the US economy to start increasing exports. Instead of focusing on spending.
Considering the news from the housing market lately, let us hope this has the intended effect.

I would also like to see this done internally, how to reduce waste within the government on all levels, by precisely these same measures.

You have any basis for this?

This is the kind of thinking the government has needed for a long time. I am embracing it for all it is worth, whatever that may be.

Not only does this eliminate needless work for corporations, it also means slightly less regulation on the government's end.

If Obama told GM that they couldn't open a plant in Mexico, you all would be on here screaming that he is taking over the auto industry. Oh wait....

Encouraging, and forcing, are two different things.

And the bulb law was enacted in 2007 by Congress. Can't pin everything on POTUS.

No ,Sean Hannity would be screaming about that, not me. Stereotyping opposition is a sign of a weak argument.

The 2007 Congress was a democrat Congress, and Obama was a democrat senator in that democrat Congress. Bush was a lame duck President with no power but is a big globalist himself.

So yes I can pin things on the POTUS.
