Everyone has been wondering since they are retiring the shuttles what will be next. Looks like it will be this;
NASA to use Lockheed Space Capsule

Emphasizing that the capsule design is intended for "deep space exploration," National Aeronautics and Space Administration chief Charles Bolden said the decision demonstrates the agency is "committed to human exploration beyond low-earth orbit."

Looks like it would be kinda cramped with 4 people inside.

7.5 billion for a meaningless project, 455 million to send a probe to Saturn's moon Titan and much more,
70,000,000 without health care.... Lets give billions in tax money to defense contractors so they can piddly around on rocks in space.

Actually i think space exploration is not meaningless, I believe it is very important. If you want to discuss money that the gov. spends needlessly, then look at foriegn policy. the U.S sends millions of dollars a year to countries all over the world. When we should keep it here and help our people.

We need a well funded space program, we need well funded science program in general. eventually something will hit the planet, or we will mess it up so badly we cant live here anymore, and then those dollars spent on space exploration wont look so meaningless.
