The Examples in nature support intelligence dictates survivable; Nature favors the predator.
Protein powers the human body, so we kill anything that walks or swims or flys and we eat it. Why would we expect an alien race to see us as
intelligent beings..? we may be nothing more than a curiosity to them, a smart cow so to speak. In the end we may be little more than a mobile protein
bar with rudimentary talents and skills, just like animals that we raise for food. There is a reason most Sci Fi movies depict aliens as aggressive,
that is what Nature intended
There was a great Sci Fi story i read when younger, about an Alien race that was watching a boy with a magnifying glass fry an anthill. Thinking this
was the manner of humanity, the Aliens went about building a giant lens above earth in order to properly honor its inhabitants.
The examples of Nature are intelligent species displace those of lessor capacity, and this has been going on billions of years before Humanity
existed, i am afraid believing an alien race with technology to cross the stars is benevolent is not ground in reality. The reason they developed that
technology is to conquer and control,to develop new food sources, to insure the survival of their race.
This may mean our end, but then who cried for the Dodo bird, the tasmanian Tiger, the passenger pidgeon, or range of other animals decimated in the
last 200 years ?....we watched participated in their demise. Maybe we will end up in an Alien race's scrap book, a historical footnote of an tasty
species found in a remote part of the universe.
