How are we all today? Good I hope, though I'am quite sure one of us is Drunk, lol.

I've had a idea for a while on a new section in ATS, Philosophy, encompassing every sepctrum, political, eastern, weastern etc. It's not commone, from what I have noted, to see ideas such as the ones I shall post below entertained.

Political Philosophy.
Pyscophysical Dualism.
Substance Dualism.
Critical Rationalism.
Conceptualism.
Anarcho-Capatalism.
Liberalism.
Anarchism.
Socialism.
Communism.
Democracy .
Monarchism.

I, in my personal opinion, believe men such as Hobbes, Burke, Kuhn, Mark deserve to be discussed, and very maturely. I do hope this is taken seriously, manifested into reality or not.

Thank you.

I would go for that idea, but something tells me that it would fit more into BTS because it is not really a conspiracy.

Any by the way today sucks! The copy machine is having laughs at my expence and I feel like I am in the movie Office Space.

I'd go for that idea too. It would be ironic for such a topic to be relegated to BTS while the Greys vs Reptilian type debates rage on on ATS

Yeah, those were but some topics that may be discussed under such a forum, and, yes, It may be more fitted in BTS. It would be interesting to see the minds of men/women/children on this site fixated on a praticular non-linear train of thought.

Philosophy is inclusion at its best.

Anyone can debate it and be an expert but the true intelligence stands out when you are asked to justify your thoughts. Anyone can say something half intelligent but a real philosopher will be able to explain it out.

My personal philosophy right now? Well I've come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as right or wrong anymore in human life... Think about it.

With the increase in law scholars and the publics knowledge of common law we've fallen into a state that anyone can get away with anything. You can't say anything for sure anymore. We have destroyed right and wrong, truth is measured by the overwhelming strength of an argument.

Murder is wrong right? Well now it can be justified, self-defence, euthanasia, ritual religious sacrifice.

Deep, I think it is a great idea. I believe that we don't see enough serious discussion of the philosophies that form society; unrelated crap always gets brought into it.

Whereas I am no expert on the subject, I do support the idea and hope it can get off the ground. Hell, I hadn't even heard of one of those and had to look it up. lol.

Maybe we could start with some basic ethical/philosophical discussions to get started.

Nerdling,

Right and wrong ? Well, there exists no universal transcendent measure of right and wrong to begin with, or so I have been raised to believe. Ones man peace, is another mans destruction.

ZeroDeep...The idea of multiculturalism is what gave birth to taht particular way of thinking, and its been around as long as someone didn't like the idea of absolutes. If there are no absolutes, there are no ethics, no standard of right and wrong. No moral code whatsoever. The idea of multiculturalism has pervaded american society far enough that yes, it is legally possible to do anything and be 'right' about it. Personally I find that to be absolutely frightful, and to simply accept it rather than make a personal stand is rather a strange concept to me. Please, explain.

Oh, and don't expect me to start rattling off things that are meaning less to the averago joe...I am after all an

I like the idea a lot ZeroDeep, count on my support!

I think it can remain on ATS, for example, philosophy can be used to discuss the CONSPIRACY of Political Correctness and debate the CONSPIRACY of absolute truth.
