Fluoride in toothpaste??

how much fluoride is in toothpaste? jesus....

it says to call a poison control center if more than a pea size amount is accidentally swallowed...

A PEA SIZE AMOUNT..... a pea is not big okay? its the size of skittles i think maybe 1mm bigger

but anyways i need to know how much fluoride is this?

0.243% in 7.8 oz. tube of toothpaste

someone told me its 2grams not sure if thats true

Gees man! How old are you? It's been an advertising ingredient for 50 years or more! 'Crest! With Fluoride' has been a staple of advertising since the 50's! Nearly all toothpastes have been sold with that ingredient since then! The amount has changed in varying degrees but it is a staple!

fluoride is good for teeth lol.

it's bad when you swallow it, or in some cases, when it's in our drinking water.

Toothpaste is pretty tasty, that said if you are that concerned use a bit of bicarbonate soda instead.
It works really well.

It's almost one quarter of one percent of the total toothpaste in the tube.

7.8 ounces = 221.12628 grams (google calc)
221.126/100=1%
or 2.211628
2.2116*0.243=0.5373216grams
so its about half a gram per 221 grams
but if i got it wrong some one will correct me..

or if you use google calc
and ask .24% of 221 grams
you get
.24% of (221 grams) = 530.4 milligrams

Your answer sounds way better than mine. Damn decimals. I gave up when I got 53 grams.

There is SOOOO much info out there and studies that have been done,
to tell you fluoride is NOT good for you,.
I guess it just depends on how much you care about your health to do anything about it

I've used Tom's non-flouride toothpaste for over a year now.

And with meditation, my third eye has opened an immense amount.. my life has changed.

I also consumed a LOT of cilantro..

fluoride is good for your teeth really

but only on TOPICAL use

topical means on site, in the specific area.

that being your teeth with your toothbrush and toothpaste.

your digestive system, bloodstream and brain are not a topical use for fluoride as far as dental health goes.

Hmm,. well I use Toms also,.
and recently had all My Amalgam(mercury) fillings removed,. feel great by the way,.
much more energy and some alergies have gone away,.
since Ive quite Fluoride,. My thinking is much sharper..

The fluoride, sodium fluroide, or sodium monosphlorate, allegedly, comes from the bi prodcut of the fertilizer alumininum, and phosphorus industry..its 'scrapped' offf the walls of concrete stakcs, refined a bit, then sold basically, to local water supplyers..and of course, months ago, learning most of the fluorie now comes from china* its corrosive in large qualtitys, and carccinogenic. builds up in your bones, and penial gland. NOT easy to remove fluoride from water..reverse osmosis seems to be the only real way to do so, or distilling the water, but reverse osmosis strips the water also, of minerals and calcium..that in return, would strip yuor body of minerals n calcium over time if drinking it.
inside yuor mouth, you have blood vessels, under your tongue. those can and often will absorb what goes in..in this case fluoride, into your bloodstream. all it does, is temporarily build an artifical layer on yuor enamel. its about yuor diet* you eat foods with sugars, you will have cavitys regardless. eat healhier, low to no sugars, an thiers no need for fluoride when you think about it. I seem to remember 2 members here, who put up some replies on other fluoride posts, thier grandfathers worked at local water plants, and hear the rumors..put a handfull of raw fluroide on some metal, and it ate through it* also allegedly true..yuode have to search not too far ago on the search option here. scary indeed!

ive been using toothpaste in place of butter for years and i'm fine..
flouride puts hair on your chest. man up!
