Yes , it dosen't make Sense . The Traditional Definition of Marriage is between a Man and a Woman with the Possibility of Procreating another Human Being .To try and Redefine it is just a Selfish Act of Desperation by those who cannot except the Status Quo . Unions between Same Sex Partners will just have to be Defined in Another way , it's as Simple as that ...........
By your logic, infertile couples and old people shouldn't be allowed to get married, as well as people who aren't planning on having kids anytime soon. As for procreation, people can adopt and get a surrograte mother, or even get artifically inseminated. Your argument is nothing more than a argument from tradition, which is by no means a logical argument.

He said "with a possibility".
What do you not get?
OH OH i get it, your one of them.
Yeah, I misread that part. Doesn't change the fact that tradition isn't a valid reason to deny gays equal rights.

It's not about tradition, It's about knowing when something is wrong.
& Same sex marriage is a prime example.
Man is meant for woman and vise versa.

Seriously...NO

All the utter tripe about continuation of the species and the garbage about what this church and that church says, is complete and absolute vilification veiled in false authority. Just more of the same guff peddled by closed minded sheep that bleat tradition, and right and wrong, and natural...as if these have been decreed by some moral authority as absolute...
Get a life, idiots. Think for yourself, wake up!
Cheers

The number one reason is that gays already have the right to marry, just like everyone else.

They want special rights to marry someone of the same sex.

Equal rights for all, special rights for none.

I have to look at history to understand if it is wrong or not and decide where in history it was decided that a man should not lay with a man, or a woman with a woman. I come up with creation and The Garden of Eden, I can't find any documents older than this that say it's wrong, so I think I will stick with the original plan. Where and when did somebody decide that that was just a stupid rule and that it needed to be changed? How long ago was that put down in the history book?

I think if a person wants to marry their gay partner, or whatever the correct term is for their signifigant other, then more power to them...the question seems to be whether it should be recognized (by who?) and for what reason.

I won't recognize it as a marrige, but then who gives two cents about what I recognize. I will recognize it as what I believe it is...simply wrong from the begining, and still is.

God did give me a brain, and my brain tells me.
Being gay is wrong in all aspects.
I mean if you want to be gay that's on your own terms.
Don't push that on the rest of us.

PS it's funny how you say think for myself, but you say cheers just because everyone else does.
my sheeple radar is going HAYWIRE.

If you are quoting Christ, you should know that homosexuality is wrong.
So i don't get why you disagree.

Christ didn't directly say anything about homosexuality, but he did say he came to fulfill the law of the prophets.
The old testament as well as the new testament both say, there is no room in heaven for the sexual immoral.
Homosexuality falls into that category.

No, there are no logical arguments against gay marriage. There's some contrived nonsense about how somehow other people's families will collapse, or that children will be adversely affected when being raised by gays. This is absurd because single people, male or female, can raise a child... but apparently two females who are in love or two males who are in love shouldn't be able to

There's no logical reason to deny gays the same rights heterosexual people have always enjoyed which is why most of those who are against it are against it for absurd religious reasons. They quote from the same book that says shellfish is an abomination and that a rebellious child who disrespects their parents should be put to death:

9 “‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death. Because they have cursed their father or mother, their blood will be on their own head.
Source

Yeah, this looks like the book we should be getting our morals from

You were directing it towards anyone who believed that same sex marriage is wrong.
I took offense.

Interesting to note...that, religions' purpose is to unite and be inclusive...yet, what the dogma, created by feeble human minds dicatates is division and disunity?!
This is NOT Christs message!

You have to understand that 2-3 thousand years ago was a very different time completely.
The culture was in no way like ours.
Anywho, the new testament abolished all of that.
