We were transported with about 20 other people in the back of a unmarked truck. (I guess it was the best they could manage in such impromptu times) and we have been taken to a nice little sorting camp as they call it. Until such time as we can go home, or be assigned new accommodation, should the situation get any worse.
Funny thing, though. I though it really nice of the US Government to do this. Especially as I am not in the US. But it seems, judging from the signs on the fence that this is set up by the US FEMA people. Lovely.
So far we have had induction, and assigned a team group, I am in the Red Group, for meal times and temporary accommodations etc So we don't get in each other way. I am in a hut with 15 other guys. Internet provided of course for keeping abreast of the situation. Funny I can;t find anything about the crisis on the news. But the MSM were never to be trusted where they. the sleeping arrangement are rudimentary, but sufficient for my needs. I am glad they they for once just seem to have every all arranged. And so quickly too.
Food is OK. not the best, but what can you do with chicken breasts eh? But the medical treatment is great. I have already had a couple of precautionary injections to help stop the spread of unwanted illness around our little holiday camp, as we are now calling it.
So first day in. and all good. We have been given our list of activities for tomorrow. to help stave the boredom. First we're going for a hair cut, and then after we have a shower. it's a communal block but I am sure that will be fine. And then after. and them mid morning they are running a cookery course, on how to oven roast meats for lots of people. I guess if we want to have a dinner party when we get out. There's nothing else scheduled for the afternoon, so I guess I will just hang around the yard and see if I can make some new friends.
Going to be a busy day!!
