I wonder if people agree or disagree that a seismic weapon is even possible.
I'll start by saying always thought people who blamed HAARP for causing earthquakes were a little daft. I thought HAARP definitely had some ulterior purpose to do with project bluebeam and sky imagery but not sure what else.

Reading a book written in 1981called The Montauk Fault by Herbert Mitgang. It is a work of fiction but discusses a seismic weapon. About the book (still reading it)
When newly developed secret weapons-Soviet and American--threaten total world destruction, a man is forced to reenter the dangerous, secret world of his past to try to prevent the cataclysm

This caused me to wonder if it (seismic/ earthquake producing weapon) was even possible
and when I searched for more information - found there was very little.
Almost as if information had been scrubbed which of course piqued my curiosity and inspired me to begin a thread on it. Seismic weapons. Possible?

Here is what little information I could gather outside of specific HAARP related threads and websites. Some websites repeat information but I tried to be as inclusive and objective as possible. A limited number of ATS threads were started but interest waned quickly - or people were thrown off tracks...? or quickly diverted...? Surprising since I think the topic is a conspiracy to end all conspiracies... if true.

Declassified Report:”Tsunami Bomb Weapon” Created in WWII. Where is it Now?
www.earth-issues.com...
“Top-secret wartime experiments were conducted off the coast of Auckland to perfect a tidal wave bomb, declassified files reveal. An Auckland University professor seconded to the Army set off a series of underwater explosions triggering mini-tidal waves at Whangaparaoa in 1944 and 1945. Details of the tsunami bomb, known as Project Seal, are contained in 53-year-old documents released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.” – From article in the New Zealand Herald (New Zealand’s leading newspaper), 9/25/1999

Project Seal: “Tsunami Bomb” papers declassified

Professor Thomas Leech’s work was considered so significant that United States defence chiefs said that if the project had been completed before the end of the war it could have played a role as effective as that of the atom bomb.

Devastating tsunami bomb viable, say experts
www.nzherald.co.nz...
University of Waikato researchers believe a modern approach to the wartime idea tested off Whangaparaoa could produce waves up to 30m high. Dr Willem de Lange, of the Department of Earth Sciences, said studies proved that while a single explosion was not necessarily effective, a series of explosions could have a significant impact.

Tsunami bomb NZ's devastating war secret
www.nzherald.co.nz...
A former colleague of Professor Leech, Neil Kirton, told the Weekend Herald that the experiments involved laying a pattern of explosives underwater to create a tsunami. Small-scale explosions were carried out in the Pacific and off Whangaparaoa, which at the time was controlled by the Army.

This website should be taken with a grain of salt since I can see an anti-American bias but still interesting information brought up and lots of it. Haiti and the seismic weapon www.voltairenet.org...
Yes, seismic weapons do exist and the United States, among others, has them.

Some interesting observations on this ATS thread and the only thread that got any attention in the way of stars or flags, even then so few as to be of any notice:

Haiti rumor: was quake caused by seismic weapon?

Topic:Haiti earthquake Get Adobe Flash player Like any disastrous quake around the world, the Haiti disaster has sent shockwaves of rumors and speculations. One of those was that the Caribbean island became a testing ground for a new generation of seismic weapons. Samir Shakhbaz grills one of Russia’s leading expert Yevgeny Rogozhkin on the hot topic

Here are a couple of videos with opinions on this:

Before the implications are discussed perhaps we should determine if
a seismic weapon is even in the realm of possibility.

Well, what do you think?
Thanks in advance for opinions either way.

I'd say it is possible to build some kind of seismic weapon in theory. I'd think it impossible in practice though; I just don't think we are technologically near the point where we can generate the tremendous energies necessary to manipulate the earth on that scale.

EDIT: S & F for an interesting topic, thanks.

"Sound" is a very powerful weapon and it passes trough matter. Making earthquakes with HAARP looks has hard has making pancakes with flour, milk and eggs.

HAARP sends radio waves up into the ionosphere to heat it up. Are they able to redirect those waves back at the ground at specific targets?

I know I didn't think so either but the fault lines are already there. This cause and effect might be similar to a sneeze and an avalanche under the right set of conditions and or circumstances.

If you were able to bounce them off a satellite, why not?
