Was wondering if someone could translate the text in the event information? The title is Portugal Revolution, and I saw the videos the other night of the Spanish revolution, so I'm wondering if these are related?

Taking the streets - remember that the people are sovereign

-In solidarity and communion with the occupation of the popular public spaces in Spain camp from 20:00 to Friday, May 20, the squares of Portugal - by the end of this fake "democracy" and people power. No flags or borders, to claim the world tod @ s - because the world is ours!

Do not appeal this point of abstaining or voting no sense, we urge that we all together protests against the existing political systems and generators of economic and financial misery and inequality, for a freer society, justice and solidarity. And we can reflect and discuss in the first person on how to build a true democracy (read: people power).

They link to some more pages, the only piece in English I found so far, here, reads as follows:

As you know, in Spain we have been having many manifestations since the 15th of may asking for a real democracy instead of the bipartisanship and corruption. We are not the pawns of politicians and bankers. There are also many cities in the world which already support us, and now is Lisbon's turn.
From tomorrow on, 19th of may at 19:00 we will meet in front of the Spanish Consulate in Lisboa: Rua do Salitre, 1. - 1269-052. We will start our revolution, and we are waiting for your support, as citizens of the world. This is a problem that concerns everybody. Indigne-vous! Follow us in #acampadalisboa.

I was in Portugal last month, the atmosphere indeed was fertile for revolution-like action. Not that surprising when you look at their current economic situation.

Good luck to the Portuguese, we'll see how this evolves.

In solidarity with Spain and now our brothers and sisters in Portugal!

Apparently, it's spreading and gaining momentum - let's hope for peaceful manifestations!

Long live the people!

Thanks.

I don't think this will go much further than some demonstrations to support the Spanish people camping in city squares.

Not really, it's just another "Anti-war, anti-NATO platform", and that page is the Portuguese version of that movement.

There have been more demonstrations in other European cities,
