Israel is not a political issue, it's a Bible issue.

America must support Israel because Joel 3:2 and Obadiah 1:15 make it very clear that any nation (including America!!!) that tries to divide the land of Israel (including Jerusalem!!!) will experience the judgement of God.

The day America turns its back on Israel is the day God turns his back on America.

That day was today.

Israel was born 3500 years ago, not right after WWII. Genesis 13:14-15, and 17:7-8

If our President was a Christian like he told us...He would understand this. Obviously he doesn't.

That day was years ago when some in Israel decided to become power hungry, dividing the country into true believers and foxhole politicians. America isn't dividing anything. We're just taking our name out of the equation. Personally I think Jerusalem needs to be nuked into a crater, and then that crater should be filled with mercury so that no one ever returns to the spot. That place has become exactly what the Bible, Qur'an, and the Tanakh have preached against for centuries. If armageddon is to occur, it'll be because of what Israel is, not what it could become.

There are numerous Gods throughout history, in almost every known culture. One of the first if not oldest being the Sumerians. Many of these Gods were crucified, had a virgin birthing and promised to return one day. Aleister Crowley, however freakish he was, said it right out in the open. Which Christian wing are you referring to... the right wing one of intolerance and hate or the left wing that bleeds into ridiculous fairy-tales. Israel is a political issue, the Zionist movement was secular and was viewed with suspicion by religious Jews for this reason. Some Orthodox sects go so far as condemning it and some of the more extreme fringe movements of Orthodox Jews actually call for the dismantlement of the state (you've probably seen the pictures of Jews in hasidic dress waving Palestinian flags).

Israel is a secular society, a republic, not a theocratic state and is filled with ordinary people, many of whom aren't religious and just want to get on with their lives. The situation in the land is purely political and is already highly volatile, adding more religious fervor to the incident (which is what 'Christian Zionism' is ultimately doing) is only going to result in the deaths of even more people. The trouble in the middle east is for politicians to sort out, it's not a holy war and I seriously doubt either side would have God's approval...

We are not to just bow before the Israeli menace. How exactly is a Christian bound to protect Israel? Is that unique to your particular flavor of Christianity, or did I just overlook that rule while studying? Wasn't Jesus a little unhappy with what he saw happening within the Jewish faith back then?

Not that I care so much which religion Obama chooses, or you choose, or what any other person chooses. Not being a Christian is at the bottom of my list for why I won't vote for Obama when the time comes. However, throwing Israel to the wolves would help with gaining my vote.

If obama isn't religious that would make me like him even more.
