Indeed sir I saw it floating or possibly moored in SoCal about 30 years back near the QE.
A big balsa ploat!

Maybe we could build a fleet of them to conduct sea/air ops for the no float/fly zone.

Nato has always been targeting command and control sites.

Sounds like the Libyans tried to pull a fast one and moved there command and control to ships from the bombed out sites ashore.

Ships make good C2 sites because of the radio com equipment they carry and the independent power supply they have.

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen is Danish
Deputy Secretary General Claudio Bisogniero is Italian.

Admiral Giampaolo di Paola, an Italian, is Chair of the Military Committee.

Supreme Allied Commander is Admiral James G. Stavridis. He's American and that office has always been American. He's also not in charge of NATO.

The Supreme Comander is always an American, with the Deputy nearly always being British with the occasional German. That said, each operational command will be made up of officers from the contributing countries. The Commanding Officer for this particular operation is apparently Lt General Charles Bouchard of the Canadian Air Force.

Lt General Charles Bouchard of the Canadian Air Force.

Admiral Giampaolo di Paola, an Italian, is Chair of the Military Committee.

Does he have too take his command from an Admiral? why wasn't the CANADIAN promoted too SAME RANK ,, out of courtesy, you know till the duration,, or does a Lt General outrank an Admiral??
Protocol people, any help appreciated,

thnks too everyone so far.

Er, what?

NATO are operating under UNSC Resolution 1973. Go look it up, the text is there.

Not sure what your rambling about though, I just assume you're alluding to the UNSC res 1973..
