Is that it? Are we just lying down and waiting for it to happen now?

Damn, that's depressing.

funny...this is the survival forum yet so many people here seem to think that nothing is coming.

oh wait...you're just responding cuz you saw it on the new topics list. you're not actually thinking about surviving...you're probably too busy thinking you won't have to.

all end time prophecies talk of horrible events happening. ok. so yeah...i wanna see the end times. i wanna see what revelations warns us of. i wanna see the storms and the famine. why? because that is obviously God's will. it's man's will to stay here on this Earth and keep things going down this path. i want the Earth to turn into the positive place it was meant to be and know it will be but i know that things will have to get bad first. obviously things aren't bad enough if things aren't getting better yet.

people quoted all these scriptures. ok. so you believe in the bible. ok. awesome. so you believe that there will be great destruction before/during/after the believers are with God. what if that's what i'm waiting for? to be with Him? y'all get so bent out of shape because something i said goes against your religious beliefs or plucks your heart strings and makes you think of things you don't want to.

you could very well be put in a position to renounce your faith or die. would you renounce your faith? no. you would die and be with Jesus. so why not wish for that so you can be with Jesus?

I don't think anyone is being sanctimonious or judgmental at all. He asked the question, we are simply answering how we feel about it. How you can relate this scenario to someone with cancer is a real stretch. I understand the point your trying to make, but the whole world is not poisoned with a disease, only a percentage of it. While there is still hope, we should be trying our best to keep the poison from spreading.

No, I don't want to see my loved ones, friends, workmates or anyone to go through the utter devastation that is being contemplated here.

thank you for actually seeing my point! too many people are afraid of saying goodbye to their egos to actually think about this! this place is a prison. i want to be free.

As i said, these things are still personal decisions and perspectives.

If it gets that much worse, you may be dissapointed, it may just get "that much worse," because external sources do not dictate our perspective on them. This is, by far, the most likely scenario.

The things you seek are available right now, we just have to make the decision to grow in that direction. Regardless of SHTF, that decision will have to be made. If no one realizes that, there will be nothing but destruction if something like that happens.

Your wish and waiting for destruction and division instead of attempting growth right now are telling. Perhaps in ways you yourself do not yet recognize..

Many understand your point, just perhaps more deeply than you do.

i am an eternal being! there is no death. when i "die" i will only leave this existence and move on to the next. what is so bad about that? let go of your ego. step into the void and don't come back.

what is really so great about this place in comparison to the pictures painted of heaven? why would anyone who believes in Jesus want to be here instead of heaven? why would anyone who believes that this life is temporary and a stepping stone to something better want to stay here? that's called ego.

this place sucks. i'm ready for change.

me personally... if i'm standing in line...i step forward every time the line does. i don't let everyone behind me cut in front, ultimately just standing still. that's what this is...we're just standing in line. waiting our turn to step up in the cosmic food chain.

i know that there is something better for all of us on the other side of this...i just wanna hurry up and get there.

Of course you realize that what you are wishing to happen asap would result in pain, suffering and death for many people, including possibly yourself and your girlfriend? I don't care how much beans, rice and bullets you have stored up, there is no gaurantee you would survive. Is this the change you're looking for?

People have been waiting and hoping for 'the end' for a long, long time, and I would say they are wasting the present.
That doesn't mean the S won't hit the fan, and I do have some things stored just in case, but I hope I never have to use them.

To almost all of the people that have replied to the OP.

I cannot believe how blind you really are. If you TRULY believe this way of life can continue, you are dead wrong. Are you really that silly?

Sure, I am enjoying all this while it lasts, why not.

But, if you cannot feel the huge amounts of shifting going on in the world, you need to wake up.

I am not wishing for it, because it is already on it's way.

I attended an art show this week, and I see that my mindset is shared by many other people.

Maybe you need to go meditate. There are things ahead that you need to know.

YES. enjoy today, of course. But just be prepared.

is it wrong that i can't wait for the *SNIP* to hit the fan? i want the collapse to come?

i'm ready to wake up tomorrow and find out that money is worthless and i don't have to go to work anymore! i'm ready to crack open the $1,000s i've spent on supplies. ready for the herd to thin. i don't want bad things to happen but i know that bad things must happen before things can get better.

is anyone else anxiously awaiting the day that our preparations become relevant?

I await the day that our failed government falls apart, then only to be rebuilt again with real Constitution standards, I'm pretty much tired of fake presidents, fake wars, fake life styles and fake food.

However if the SHTF... I would miss...

Injectable Vasectomy's
Dental check ups
Internet porn
The remote control
toilet paper
Gym membership
My work maid

Meh, I wouldn't miss much, were better off without our luxuries..... bring on the Apocalypse!

they're all living in ego solarE...exactly how TPTB wanted them to! the great architects really did a number on the human psyche. people believe exactly what the architects wanted them to. and you kow what...that's exactly what this post is talking about! this paradigm was created to control the masses and they did a bang up job. i'm ready for it to crumble and start over so that those of us who are in tune with our spirits can live the way God intended for us to live.

i highly doubt your God wants your kid to eat GMOs all day, learn false history in school, be addicted to xbox, sponge bob square pants and twinkies and you to be in debt up to your eyeballs, worrying about how you're gonna pay the mortgage next month. if that's what your god wants for you...your god sucks!

my God wants me to live long and prosper. kinda hard to do when my government feeds me poison and gives me vaccines that make me sick. hard to do when they make it harder and harder for a person to make an honest living and still live comfortably. yeah...i want this system to melt.

and if i die...i'll be in a better place, looking back at all the silly humans so proud of themselves for existing, as though they gave themselves life!

No, it's just that true survivalists know what kind of hell what you are proposing. They generally don't want it to happen. They are just smart enough to be as prepared as possible if/when the time comes.

You are in Atlanta. And you've said the people around you know that you stockpile supplies. Guess where all the unprepared are going to head? You're not being very smart about it.

If you want a life free from modern technology, move to the sticks. Start a homestead. Grow all your own food and raise your own animals to slaughter. Make your own clothes by learning how to weave cloth. Dig your own well. Figure out how you are going to deal with your excrement. Then guess what? You won't have need for a job because your daily job would be procuring basic necessities. You won't have to worry about what game your neighbor kid is playing. You won't be bombarded by the designer clothing and tech gadgets you are so obviously sick of. You won't have to wait around for a zombie apocalypse to start living a self sustaining lifestyle.

It is a very easy thing to think that survival is nothing more than stockpiling a few cans of food. It goes so much more deeper than that and I don't think you really understand exactly what you are wishing on your fellow human beings. I agree with the other posters that say you are being selfish and immature in wanting this to happen.

Why do think we who don't agree with the OP are blind?? No-one has stated this way of life will continue down the path it's on, but I for one don't know if the situation being talked about here will bring guaranteed improvements. For that fact, no-one knows.

I am so tired of hearing the words "wake up". I have been on this earth for quite a while now, and am certainly aware of whats going on around me. Changes are inevitable, but I am not going to wish for pain and suffering to come upon us all.

just so you know....i don't store my supplies where anyone knows. i am not going to be at my place when it does happen. my supplies are where no one knows. so yeah...i am smart about it. thank you for your attempt at condescension. very cute.

You really think that is going to keep you safe? All they have to know is that you have supplies. There will be many hungry and desperate people in the city that would be willing to shoot first and ask questions later. And have you thought about how you are going to get to your supplies while the mobs are running the streets? Hell, I wouldn't walk through parts of Atlanta now. Once widespread panic sets in it is only going to get exponentially worse. That's why I left as soon as I had the chance.

And it isn't condescension. It is the truth. You think this is going to be an easy thing to live through since you've got a bit of food stockpiled. It's not. And I stand by my assertion that to wish this type of scenario on your fellow human beings is selfish and immature.

Of course you are, my friend. Lucky for you, its constant
But it is up to us to guide it in the direction we want. If we never walk in that direction, then that "destination" will never be reached.

Let me be more terse than i usually am; stop guiding others until you are ready to learn from them at the same time. If you continue approaching it as you are, you will never find peace. It will always be "out there," because by denying the ego and self, there is no "in here" for it to reside. They are both valid parts of "all that is" though.

The ego is the natural result of the system of the body, it is the collective result of those individual (but not separate) systems. It is frequently perceived as only the thought processes, but it is more encompassing than that. The only way to "let go" or "eliminate" the ego is death. You can not "get rid of" the ego except by deceiving yourself. However, for our perspective to be based entirely from this part of our being is what is spoken of by the ancient cultures as "improper." Denying it as a part of "what is" is denying "what is." Our perspectives are certainly exclusionary enough to carry out such a thing though. Such a process is not carried out in the mind, or its thought processes, it is experiential. That is why many cultures taught breathing exercises. The purpose is not to be able to "think better" about the breathing, or include its presence more fully in our mind. It is to allow the experience of the breathing itself rise up next to our thought processes on our overall perspective. After this is done for all systems within the physical body, one can finally see exactly what the "ego" or "self" is. The contained can not understand, or "be," the container. Meaning, if one is not experientially basing their perspective beyond thought processes or senses, one is still residing within the ego. Such a process starts small and works from there, like most things in this material universe. The "ego" isnt a bad thing, its a natural result, its just not a very good place to understand more than just the strictly observable world.

You have been given a gift, and the wonders of God/universe abound around you. There is no where else "to go" except in our own perspective. The place you wait for already exists now, just not in your free will perspective. Until we properly base such things, no real personal growth will ever occur. You are an eternal being, which means that things like peace are simply not relegated to things that are material and passing away. An eternal being has nothing to "wait" for, as that is only a concept relevant to cyclical systems. That means the only thing standing in the way of you and something like "peace," "enlightenment," "ascendence," "whatever immaterial thing you want to call it" is you. And if our experiential physical perspective has not incorporated other systems alongside the thought processes and lungs breathing, simultaneously, then not only are we still contained within the ego (no matter what we tell ourselves), we are forcing ourselves into a small part of the ego (the mind/thought processes). Most people even limit this further by operating their thoughts mainly based on words. Its a tricky maze in there.. Things like the thought processes (or any systems resultant of our physical body), are not to be denied, they are to be utilized as tools for movement within the physical universe on a.. pretty incredibly intricate level. If there is no sense or realization of "self," how do you see yourself in others?

God is not so limited as to not be present here and now in all things, perhaps it is you who are denying him? As a wise man once said "the kingdom of heaven is amongst you." It is not something to be attained after death, it is to be understood during life.

We can all reach this destination, if we choose to, without the type of world and events you describe. You are free to choose it as an inevitability and "wait" for whatever it is you are waiting for, but others will actively be attempting to help others understand and cooperate with each other now regardless of what is to come. Listen, you can think whatever you want of me, just.. kind of store what i said and hopefully someday you will cooperate with another (me) enough to explore their views. You may think i dont, but i know where you are coming from. You do not seem interested in where i am coming from, and instead only try understanding what im saying through what it would mean if you wrote it, so ill leave it there
i know exactly what its like, there. All the best anyway my friend!

see...that's the funny thing: neither of us can actually say that we know where the other is. saying that you've been where i am is assuming that you know where i am. perhaps there is a hidden reason for me making this thread and wording it the way i have. perhaps not. but either way...you're assuming you know where i am. if you are as enlightened as you are trying to sound, you would know that to say you've been where i am is very egoic. you're assuming that you know my intentions. that you know what's going on inside of me. that you are advanced to me.

yeah...there actually is a point to my thread. you just can't see it. it's ok...i've been there...

I can understand.
I too am tired of what is going on in the world and I know it cannot continue for much longer.
BUT, instead of spending my days in fear and anticipation of doom I enjoy each moment, for each moment is a gift.
Whether we see it as such depends on our mindset. I've learned to see the beauty in life even when it looks grim.
Whether the change comes from disaster or not is up to each one of us and our mindsets.
What we set our minds on is usually what we end up experiencing. We can change the world for the better without disaster, it is possible.

Love and Joy
