hey ya'll,

i'll keep this real short and sweet. I have an idea for what I think could a way for the truth to really get out. I do not possess the skill set to create what i envision, but I know someone does.

Considering that nowadays cameras on cell phones on tablets are both pretty good in quality and stream directly to the web why can't WE THE PEOPLE of the world be our own news sources?

Imagine a site that is a combination of both : www.Newser.com and www.Justin.tv ?

Newser - is a grid based news portal that allows up-to-date news and multiple sources to be viewed very effectively and easily by users

justin.tv - is a site that allows anyone with a camera connected to the internet to not only share videos like youtube, but to BROADCAST. meaning real time video footage can be viewed.

this doesn't have to be exclusively for alternative media (but it sure would help) but everything. the MSM is a sham #1, and #2 their resources are limited in what they can cover. But WE THE PEOPLE have all the resources and staff we could ever need.

you can broadcast award ceremonies, live sports (not NFL or MLB, but high school sports or a golf tournament for instance that would nevvveerr be covered in the traditional model), a travel destination, a car accident, a UFO encounter, and so on and so forth.

WE can make this happen. Lets publish the truth and so many damn angles of the truth that it is irrefutable.

LETS TAKE THE POWER BACK!!!

You can start with ATS.
Every day things show up here that you dont see elesewhere, granted not everything here is fact, but it a lot better
then msn cnn or others, but here we make it not them.
I rember reading about Japan here befor the big news broke it so whats that tell you.
Nothing is perfect but we try here.

ohh i wholeheartedly agree good sir.

i meant more on the lines of actually creating an entirely different site that has no agenda, angle, bias, etc.
just a site where average citizens can send broadcast any and all news.

the idea is that every citizen of the world can participate in the necessary transparency in a free society by.

i love ATS, but all the topics here are alternative media. so try and go beyond that and imagine this scenario:

the police state is growing, so say you see a foreign couple being harassed by local cops, so you pull out your iPhone and start broadcasting that scene directly to the internet as it is happening.

I actually agree with your line of thinking and wish something would be done about it. I really hate the MSM but I equally hate the alternative media. I think that the alternative media is great at waking people up but if you are politically savvy like me you'll notice that the alternative media is just as partisan as the regular media. They just try to hide behind conspiracies and better coverage of other events, but, they still are stuck in the partisan left-right game. It would be great if there was a voice for the people to say what they had to say about stuff.
