A man who won more than £350,000 after placing a 50p each-way bet has been described by bookie William Hill as their "luckiest ever punter." The single father from Glasgow, who wishes to remain anonymous, hit the jackpot with a seven-horse accumulator. The man, who has not worked for five years after heart surgery, said he was shocked and said his brain was "a wreck". He intends to buy his own home and visit his sisters abroad. He said: "I'm shocked. I regularly place these little bets and everyone tells me I'm mad. "I've hit the bar a few times but this is incredible. "My brain was a wreck and I couldn't understand the balance on my account. I first thought it would pay about £21,000 and had to get my son to come and translate that the numbers meant I'd actually won £353,000." The lucky winner placed his 50p each-way accumulator on seven horses running at Brighton, Nottingham, Towcester and Kempton. A spokesman for William Hill said: "He's our luckiest ever punter."

Smells like casino propaganda letting everyone know how lucky you could be.
Come now, place your 1 pound or 1 penny bets.

Just everyday

Every now and then

You know you want your fix

Casio:+1,000,000,000,000,000,000
Man:+350,000
Public:-10^10^10
exaggerated of course.

EDIT:I'm assuming this is a casino, some seven-horse accumulator brings up horse racing so i guess it's a horse race but i don't see how there could be a 700,000/1 horse race... I'm confused as theres not much info =

a 7 horse accumulator involvers betting on race one - and automatically placing the winnings as a bet on race 2 and so on

unless all 7 horses you back win - you get nothing

also - an " each way bet " only requires your horse to finish in the top 3

its simpler than it sounds

1pound ` each way ` only gives you 50 pence stake , so

race 1 , horse 1 - comes second at 3:1

you now have a £2.00 stake on

race 2 , horse 2 - coming 3rd at 10:1

gives you a £22 stake on :

race 3 , horse 3 - winning at 5:1

gives you a £132 stake on

you get the picture

eddit to clarify - you get your stake bak on each bet pluss the winning odds
