How YOU can take part in the rapture

So, a prank has quickly started circulating, and thought I would pass it on here so others can enjoy.

From my FACEBOOK feed:

"Don't be left out this Saturday. We can all participate in the rapture, not just witches, aliens, and crazies. On Saturday, take some of your unwanted clothes and shoes and leave sets of them arranged on sidewalks and lawns around town. Hope you all get the chance to participate."

I usually take it down to The Closet

not as cool as picking it up off the street I guess

lol...Sounds like what we use to do back in the 60's.....We would stuff shirts and pants and shoes ,etc....and lay them on a street corner and hit the side of a car with a water balloon filled with cherry cool-aid...it was good for many laughs....

The idea is to pass on the idea that people were whisked away in the so called 'rapture'....leaving behind nothing but their clothes.

If there is a mod out there who deems it ok, I'd LOVE to see this thread moved to a forum that gets put on the main feed.

This idea's hilarious, but I haven't heard a single person in my town mention the supposed upcoming rapture, so people will see it and be like "Oh, there are some clothes on the ground, hmm"

Still, even if they don't think it's the rapture, I bet their imaginations will come up with even wilder scenarios, like "A homeless man probably smoked some PCP, got nude, and chased some geese"

Seriously...?
Rapture could be defined in a number of different ways. What if it meant the type of "Rapture" that is produced during orgasm?
Could you imagine.... a worldwide "Rapture" like that?

As far as this whole ting goes, I'm not quite sure why you felt the need to comment at all. I'm all for being serious about issues, but getting a laugh out of messing with fanatics doesn't make me any the more ignorant.

that would be so funny i was driving home to day and seen one of the huge billboards saying 5/21/11 jesus returns i feel sorry for all the people duped into spend there hard earned money on these billboards.

When I first read this I laughed. A LOT.

Then my tinfoil hat slipped for a second, and a thought occurred to me: What if this is part of "the plan" to make people think a "rapture" actually took place? And, to make their plan even more enjoyable (to them), they got the people to participate in the plan?
