I'm appalled by the amount of greed these big wig oil execs display. They really are root of all greed. The beautiful part it is even our pathetic , complacent , ignorant public some day will revolt against abuse and will brake the oil cartel and nationalize this abusive industry. I'll be waiting patiently for someone to come up with an alternative fuel source and brave enough to bring it to the market.

And you know what congress is going to do about it?............... Nothing that's what! These people line most of congress members and senators pockets with heavy "contributions" and behind closed doors straight up pay offs!

The Whitehouse has little power over big oil. Big Oil is regulated by the Department of Energy. They can keep secrets on a need to know basis from the president. This power grew out of there main purpose. Atomic Energy.

The bombs were tested at Area 51. It's all about the military. The army can move with oil. It's the blood that courses through an armies viens and beats at the heart of the military machine. Energy is what an army needs. Oil to fuel it. Nukes to point everywhere. Energy.

So you got energy. Then you have the industry. GE for the weapons. Eisenhower was right.

God help us all.

We need some help. Don't blink- you may miss the peak oil moment. Woah, it may have just happened. No, maybe it's a few minutes away. What do I know? No one exactly knows. That's not the scary thought. It's what happens when you are paying 25$ a US Gallon.

It's coming.
Peak Oil is coming.
Change yourself now.
No cost for the tire rotation.

What a sad, sad world we live in.

I'm only twenty and I do not want to imagine where we'll be as a country in ten or twenty years with these a-holes in business.

Holy moly the CEO of Exxon makes $21 million a year--A YEAR!

Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson, who earns roughly $21 million a year, called the attempt to roll back the subsidies "misinformed and discriminatory." Then he threatened to abandon America all together: "You give me a different tax burden," he said, "I'm going to take my capital then, since the U.S. isn't attractive, I've got to go somewhere else."

$21 mil/ year equals a weekly paycheck of $403,846.
On the very, very remote chance that he works 100 hrs/wk,
that is $4038/ hr.

Only in America.

Valid point.
But remember that without oil, you would have nothing.
No computer, no industry, no internet, no jobs..(in today's standards)
It may feed the MIC, but it feeds you too.
Until we find a better, cleaner way to survive, it's all we have.
You don't have to use oil.
Think of it that way.

These people know this and are profitting over it.
They also know that we wouldn't have this way of life without it.

Therein lies the problem.
Maybe our own lust.

Cut their subsidies just for spite now after that statement.

Why cant I be in certain positions when people make threats like that, I would ram it in and break it off.
But that's just me and would not be PC.

At this point, Senator McGotsomeballz looked up and said; "Really? Is that a promise?"

Tillerson appeared momentarily puzzled, so McGotsomeballz interjected again, "You all heard him! Right?" He cast his eyes, looking around from face to face.

Suddenly, the Senator fell to his knees, "Please oh please OH PLEASE! .... Get the hell out of my country you blood sucking parasites!"

"Go move your goddamn new East India Trading Company back to wherever you oozed from." he said flatly, rubbing his knees as he stood.

"America is not your bitch!"

..... "Move to adjourn."

Ask yourselves....

Why is gas .19 cents a gal. in Venezuela?

Or why is gas in Puerto Rico only $1.76 that has no oil, no refineries and it all has to be shipped in.

Who profits and where does all the tax go?

Very interesting I'll take a look further into that.

I just don't want to believe people like the oil executives exist but sure enough they do, no matter how much the world is suffering around them they will keep cranking up oil prices because it's the "American thing to do". Earlier yesterday I found another source but I forgot from where :/ I'll keep looking.

it comes down to control of shiping and refinement
in NZ they shipp off all the oil and sell it off shore,
we then buy shipped in oil
and the extra cost of shipping is included in our prices
which is why oil prices are so valatile
its all shipped around the world on ships that use fuel to get the fuel where its going

its the old
country a ships to country b
country b ships there oil to country a
both countrys pay a higher "shiped" and "stored" price
than they would if they just used their own gas
lol
so when gas prices go up so does the shipping costs which inflate the price of gas at the pump

it also adds huge uneccery amounts of shiping polution and forien organisms around the world
where the ecosystems (ocean ecology) gets destroyed by "HEAVY DESIL" exaust and no carbon tax

lol

america has enough oil and time left to pump N dekota
and sell their own oil locally
and stop destroying the earth needlessly
and return oil to its proper price
and stop unecesary shiping and ecological damage

I was a young woman when we broke the government control over airlines and telephone companies. At that time the cost of flying was so high, only the wealthy could fly and long distance call prices were so high, we were rarely able to afford to make such calls. I had to take a bus to visit my parents in Florida from college in Boston because we could not afford to fly. It was a monopoly. A government monopoly that was put in place to control the "greedy" airline companies and serve the greed of the politicans and unions who centrally controlled those industries.

So, be careful what you wish for. A socialist power structure is not really Utopia.

Right now the Democrats are trying to make you blame the oil companies for the increase in oil prices when really the cost of oil has increased with the decrease in oil supplies. Oil supplies have been reduced by actions and inactions taken by the President and he is trying to blame shift onto the oil companies.

Try not to be manipulated so easily. They are in the process of eating us alive and we really have to WAKE UP.

It's just like Wall St. and the FED, if we threaten to audit them or do anything to affect their trillion dollar monopolies they threaten to destroy our little world and the economy that they allow us to live in. It is really sick how even our government is a slave to the goliath corporations. If a congressman decides to go against them then his life will be threaten or he will just be replaced in the next election. We don't have any real freedom from these greedy, hoarding basturds.

I highly doubt our "pathetic, complacent, ignorant" public will do anything.

Even during the American Revolution it was a minority of people lead by a consortium of wealthy business owners that revolted against the British.

So unless, Google, Microsoft, and Facebook lead a revolution against ExxonMobil and JP Morgan Chase, nothing will happen. It takes power to fight power.
