Incredible, but scary!
Can you imagine this technology being used on a massive scale, like cctv?
I love science and technology, but something about the rate in which it evolves is worrying.
Because I also love mystery and my privacy.
Can you imagine a world where everything is explained by science? Love is a chemical reaction that can be switched on or off, perfect music fro any
mood is created through complex mathematical equations and computers...
Can you imagine a world where you cannot be alone? Where you cannot walk out under the twilight sky, atop a silhouetted tor at the edge of a
wilderness, without someone watching you?
You kind of accept, and accept, the idea that you are being watched if you live in a city. In central London, it is estimated that on average a person
is caught on CCTV at least 350 times a day.
It's only a matter of time before you cannot go anywhere without being constantly watched by the state, and I fear that this amazing technology will
be harnessed largely to that advantage, surveillance.
But despite my concerns, I still feel a pang of joy and satisfaction when I zoom in on someone from a mile away and see that they have a blue pen.
