Is this a pic taken with a real telescope and all that? or did it came from one of those apps that allow you too look at the sky like Google Sky? it looks like it was computer generated, the object i mean, but i'm not sure, looks like a glitch i've seen before with these applications.

Alternatively it could be space debris, if you look at the lower part it kind of looks ripped off, like it was part of a bigger thing and got ripped off, looks a little like some form of plastic wrapped around or something similar, but who knows, cool pic anyway

Not GoogleSky but Microsoft's WorldWide Telescope in real time.

Orion constellation is having some interesting objects. With the program, alot of the unusual things you have to zoom hella close and hope you have very good eye sight.

Strange, I have no idea what that could be.

I tend to agree with the belief that it's just some sort of compression artifact or something. It's just such an obscure shape and size, one of those times that your mind juts kind of tries to make sense out of or find resemblance in it.

Yeah it reminds me of the tholians from Star Trek Original Series. Watch The Tholian Web. Classic episode! One of the best!
