What are you doing for Rapture Saturday?
I have an elderly mother who listens to the voice of this rapture. His name is... Herald Camping, if I am not mistaken. We have spoken about this
often, ever since he put it out months ago. We both agree that he seems to favor his version of biblical math over the scripture that states that no
one, not even Christ, knows the exact moment when this will occur.
Only God the Father does.
But that being what it is, how can any of us ourselves know when and if we would be ready for the end?
As in, 'The End'. Period.
We are simply not smart enough to claim we have all the answers to all the questions of existence. Regardless of whether you are an evolutionist or
creationist or something else, mankind has been here before. We once were quite comfortable with a flat world at the center of the universe. There was
a time when science was absolutely sure that heavier-than-air flight was an impossibility. And then there were those who were known to fear riding on
the first trains because it was assured that your skin would fly from your bones at 45 mph!
So, come Saturday... who will be ready? Who among us can claim the ultimate, intimate knowledge of the universe?
Or should I perhaps reword that to say... who here is foolish enough to stake that claim?
