If they can connect the dots. Most people dont seem capable of tracing cause and effect further than one or two moves.

All there needs to be is one guy there with a mind that can, who attributes his current situation with his lack of money due to the recession.

French President Jacques Chirac has become the latest Western leader to speak out against an American attack on Iraq.

He condemned US threats to attack Iraq unilaterally, saying that a United Nations mandate should be sought for military action.

Its still trial in the court of public opinion. Much like showing mug shots of people like Micheal Jackson, or OJ SImpson, or various other celebrities whose legal troubles hit the international media cycle.

The international community has cared a bit less about pop music stars and football players, but there again, no photos of them in handicuffs were shown here before their judgement.

the statement that someone must have their heads somewhere dark and isolating is not a "feeling." Its a statement of truth phrased in a way I found personally satisfying.

It is not a intellectually sincere argument. It is satisfying to your emotions because it is words that are cultural "button pushers" and usually push the buttons of those they target, repressing their faculties for logical and reasonable argument.

Its impossible that France could be aware of how we operate in the media. We have done it too many times, in too many instances that have hit the international news scene.

Though the french are aware that the press will always strive to have such power of the masses, they assumed (mistakenly) that the US must have some minimal laws in place to limit their ability to do so.

"The American Press" is not here defending their title and the feelings of the French. You are.

I did not start this thread, in which the topic is the feelings of the french people. I do not share their feelings either.
The french did not bring to the american public their feelings- the american press did. (just watched the evening news and a reporter in the US let us know that the americans have found out the feelings of the french and are very focused upon that). Even the french are wondering why the americans are bothing to focus on how they feel, and wondering why you care.

In any case, they did not impose their feelings upon the american media. It was their business and irrelevant.

One new damning piece of information that has leaked says when the police entered the plane and arrested SK he did not protest his innocence or question what he was being arrested for. All I know is if I was sitting minding my own business and was suddenly arrested for no reason I wouldn't go peacefully without protest.

I'll admit I did jump to a guilty conclusion pretty quickly. Seeing one of the elite brought low made me very happy for some reason.

Nonetheless I don't think they would have taken on such a big fish without some very solid evidence. Early reports made me assume the chase was down the main hall, not inside the room. Even still, the main hall camera will see the entry and exit which will be very interesting. Obviously if she is seen to leave the room in distress it will not be good for SK.

Actually, I don't find that he didn't protest being taken off the plane to be all that damning.

Public figures who might be targets might entirely find it unconcerning to be suddenly escorted out of any area by police.

I'm pretty sure the arresting officers told him he is under arrest, not that we are here to escort you off the plane. If your arrested and you have commited no crime it is highly unlikely you would not protest or demand answers.
