I just wanted to add that isn't it peculiar that there are so many "end of the (human) world" scenarios and so few "humans live and grow into a wonderful species on a thriving planet" postulations?

Star and flag, Slayer, for that epic thread! And now my contribution. I'm not sure, if anybody already imagined that scenario, but my most plausible guess ( ) for a respectable end-of-the-world-scenario would be:

A collision with a brown dwarf (that would have passed our tiny planet without any calamities, if it wouldn't have been pushed accidently in our direction by comet Elenin) populated by reptilien aliens, which turned into zombies after the outbreak of a self produced virus, what led to an erroneous input into their supercomputer named "Skynet" which controlled the replilian aliens "large hydron collider", what resulted in a sudden tiny black hole, that, just in the moment before the brown dwarf would have crashed into our tiny planet (the approach of the brown dwarf already produced megaquakes on our tiny planet that resulted in megatsunamis and the outbreak of all of earths supervolcanos) turned that brown dwarf into the universes biggest black hole ever, that sucked in not just our tiny planet, but our whole solar system, then our milky way, and finally the universe itself.

Seats in the The Restaurant at the End of the Universe are still available...

I don't think of the bee die off as a joke or Monsanto for that matter. I guess I just generally have a lighthearted approach to everything.

Maybe one real challenge is that there are so so many of us but so few even care or think about the real and serious problem we face as a species.

I have a very meaningful life tbh, married with 3 children. Practicing Para/EMT - Nothing here 'wanting' it to happen but given a choice of something happening then Zombies it will have to be.
