Why was it cancelled? Now the Event is Cancelled along next to The V

I got admit The event was interesting, there was no reason to cancel a good show.

Aah thats a shame, more like crap!
I love that show, it was well put together.
I'm guessing this is because it was hard to get in to. The pilot was confusing.

Ah well,

V, The Event, Fire-Fly, SGA and now I heard SGU?

C'mon! I don't think we need more Idol and Dancing shows!

Seen a promo for a new show called "Chimp Mom." About a woman and her pet Chimp.

WOW!

That's almost as bad as the promo I just saw.

It is about a guy dressed as a dog and two other people, WTF!
Wilfred I think. . .

I gave that show a chance in the first season and some in the 2nd...At first, it was annoying because all of the flashbacks etc, but then they fixed that problem, good.

Then, the real problem was that the whole show just went on and on and on and on and on without anything really interesting happening.... The entire thing was a build up to something...not so interesting. We knew aliens were involved early on (w00t), but how long can a show called "The Event" get dragged on before we actually see "The Event"?

A show with a title like that is bound to fail if the motive is to stretch it out like "Lost". At least "Lost" had the title correct. Thumbs down for "The Event".

It was the right choice to cancel it.

New episode tonight.

I'm pretty sure they will finish off the season, NBC just canceled the 2nd season of it.

And it looks like The Event will get replaced by yet another Singing show.

Yup the Science Fiction line up is taking a dive.

The Event - Gone, good riddance
V - Gone, just when it showed promise
Stargate Universe - I now officially hate Syfy, gone
Smallville - 10 friggin years and all I get is CGI Supes? Gone
Chuck - 13 episodes ordered, then they're done with the spy saga.

on top of all that, the only Sci-Fi heavyhitter (imo) still standing is Fringe, and thats been escaping cancellation by the seat of its pants for a few seasons now.

It's a bleak dark time for Sci-Fi on TV.

I read they signed for another 6 years. The producers say that, unlike Lost, they are full of idea and know where they are going!

But they also said that about Lost...

All the good series are being cancelled! Yeah, hate Syfy for cancelling SGU...

Ya it got canned. Supposedly NBC is looking at alternative ways to continue the series. That could mean anything from being picked up by SyFy channel, to comics, webseries, or paperback novels. So not getting my hopes up for anything in particular.

There is also supposed to be two more episodes tonight's "The Beginning of the End" and next week's "The Arrival".

Fringe won't get cancelled - I don't watch it.

Only shows I watch get cancelled.

Why do they always do this? I hate 99% of the rubbish that's on TV, V was awesome and ended in the worst possible way. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

It's frustrating! We're being fed entertainment, they can at least make it decent entertainment.

They're trying to knock it down though. That's why it was moved into the Friday Night TV-Suicide Time-Slot.

Friday night for a TV Show, is equivalent to a nursing home.
Stick it there for now, but don't expect it to be around much longer.

Man all Sci Fi shows on networks are cancelled, hopefully SyFy picks it up, I am still mad they didn't approve the second season of flash forward.
