Attention Democrat/Liberal Team Members

A new book has been released, "Our Plan for America", with authorship attributed to John Kerry and John Edwards. I don't know if this is a hard-copy book, but you can download a free copy at

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to read this pdf file. Since the download is from the John Kerry website, and the authors are Kerry and Edwards, I think we can take this book as an official statement of the Kerry-Edwards campaign on political issues.

Having glanced at the book, I think it will be easier reading than the Democratic Party Platform.

Everybody on the team start looking at the "gimmies" from Kerry and the DNC. And thinking about your ideas for presentation. Also researching other independent sources we should share (to be explained in U2U).

Post the obvious here if you like, but save anything "juicy" for private discussion.

I'll be U2Uing all Team Dem/Lib members a confirmation of the set team (once set) and requesting e-mail info (if available) so we can discuss and share resource suggestions en mass (and private) including independent sources.

Keep those U2U interest applications coming in as we're building a diverse and mighty coalition...you might say, the mother of all coalitions.

SO still hasnt checked my u2us to him so we cant start yet. dont you guys have to wait before starting?

LOL. Well, based on your post "Straightforward philosophy," I see you are opposed to liberalism and socialism. You probably won't be too thrilled with Senators Kerry and Edwards, since they are classified as liberals. From my perspective as a left-wing liberal, they are centrist Democrats.

You will probably consider their plan for universal health care to be socialism, although I do not think that is an accurate classification. Whatever you think of the Kerry-Edwards plan for America, you would do well to familiarize yourself with it, since the polls and electoral college projections are showing better than a 50-50 chance for a Democratic win in November.

I promise you Kerry will not take away your guns or SUV. Personal freedoms would probably be enhanced under a Kerry administration. In particular, the creeping fascism exemplified by the PATRIOT Act will be rolled back.
