Good evening everyone.
I was wondering if anyone could provide me with the data that Harold Camping come up with, in order to conclude that the Rapture is going to occur on May 21st.
He says that this is mention in the bible, where? What kind of calculations is he talking about?
No offence to the believers just curious about how did he come up with such conclusion.

Regards.

As no-one else was able to actually answer your question, I'll do it- again.

This is how Harold Camping did it, according to his own reasoning;

By Camping's understanding, the Bible was dictated by God and every word and number carries a spiritual significance. He noticed that particular numbers appeared in the Bible at the same time particular themes are discussed. The number 5, Camping concluded, equals "atonement." Ten is "completeness." Seventeen means "heaven." Camping patiently explained how he reached his conclusion for May 21, 2011. "Christ hung on the cross April 1, 33 A.D.," he began. "Now go to April 1 of 2011 A.D., and that's 1,978 years." Camping then multiplied 1,978 by 365.2422 days - the number of days in each solar year, not to be confused with a calendar year. Next, Camping noted that April 1 to May 21 encompasses 51 days. Add 51 to the sum of previous multiplication total, and it equals 722,500. Camping realized that (5 x 10 x 17) x (5 x 10 x 17) = 722,500. Or put into words: (Atonement x Completeness x Heaven), squared. "Five times 10 times 17 is telling you a story," Camping said. "It's the story from the time Christ made payment for your sins until you're completely saved. "I tell ya, I just about fell off my chair when I realized that," Camping said.

He continues;

[One year must be subtracted in going from an Old Testament B.C. calendar date to a New Testament A.D. calendar date because the calendar does not have a year zero.]

Thus, he startled concludes;

Thus Holy God is showing us by the words of 2 Peter 3:8 that He wants us to know that exactly 7,000 years after He destroyed the world with water in Noah’s day, He plans to destroy the entire world forever. Because the year 2011 A.D. is exactly 7,000 years after 4990 B.C. when the flood began, the Bible has given us absolute proof that the year 2011 is the end of the world during the Day of Judgment, which will come on the last day of the Day of Judgment.

Now you know.

Will the real Christians please stand up?

Oh look, they all did.

What never ceases to amuse me is when these sorts of subjects come up, the 'real' Christians come out to point fingers and judge others, especially other Christians. "Those aren't real Christians, sir!".

Did Jesus warn to beware of wolves in sheep's clothing, or wolve's clothing?

I thought it the wolves would be wearing sheep's clothing.
