I have often marveled at architecture and admired how it can be combined with engineering to achieve works of art on a grand scale. Standing at the foot of a 500 ft. building is a tad different than browsing around your local art gallery, when you are in the presence of a great work of art in the classical sense it can be all consuming but for me there is just something different when you feel the smallness of yourself as compared to one of these massive structures that truly are art as well.

Enjoy, there are many more but I thought Id bring you a reasonable amount to tickle the fancy of anyone who is interested in this type of thing who may not have seen them before. See more of them here!

Wow! These are incredible! Miraculous architecture

I love architecture, mostly the old. Not very much the modern buildings, but the ones you showed us here are remarkable and really a joy for the eye!
Love that stone house and the palace!
Thanks for sharing these with us

That stone house is really great, so serene, looks like it is right out of a J.R. Toiken book! And ya, that stadium is probably the most incredible stadium I have ever seen, they should have the Super Bowl there haha.

That stone house looks brilliant. Talk about a peaceful place to live
The crooked one in Poland would just cause me to freak out and probably fall in a heap looking at it.
Could be very disorientating, but amazing nonetheless.

Cool thread

It would seem to me that these houses are the result of dividing by 0 (especially the hole house)

There is also a UFO shaped house in Albuquerque, NM that looks strange. I looked for pictures but didn't see it.
There are some smart architects behind some of those buildings.

Interesting thing about the UFO house is there are actually a number of these on the same property. Apartments actually. They are empty and have never been lived in as they are believed to be haunted and so therefore, the Taiwanese won't demolish them either. I lived near these for about 6 months and would see them daily.

They are very cool but sad to see empty.

Cool.
My favourites are The Crooked House and The Dancing House which is in Prague.
I've been to Prague a few times, it's a great city but I've never seen that - it's a 'must see' on my next visit.

By the way i live in the town that has The Crooked House , well I live in the neighboring town about 5km away , but I tend to go to pubs in Sopot , and I can tell You , walking past that house while drunk is a eerie experience

Yet another fantastic post showing that ATS isn't always about aliens, alternate histories, government coverups or even the classic bigfoot!

Excellent posting OP thank you for sharing these pictures of wonderfully abstract monstrosities!

I have seen a few of these but a few of these are new to me. Keep it up and happy research!

Actually, the Taiwanese are incredibly afraid of ghosts. Don't go into the ocean past your waist...ghosts. Make a racket for 24 hrs a day, day after day when someone dies...scare away the ghosts. Open your store in the morning and offer burnt (fake) money in an urn outside your store to your dead ancestors.

The UFO buildings were never finished or occupied. Here are some inside pics:

www.wegotways.com...

The story is, due to construction related fatalities the building of these 70s era luxury vacation villas was halted leaving the strange, futuristic ufo-shaped homes still rotting today.
