Hey pal I was on here last night for like three hours. Evolution is most indeed a fact of course there's some holes in the data but that's only because they are trying to trace it back to billions of years ago. Plus to whoever that was saying you have faith in evolution makes you religious is very incorrect. Faith means you believe in something that has no proof and have never seen before , but nonetheless they believe in it. The difference here is that we have proof and we have bones of animals from millions of years ago and you see the change in them. So we do not have faith in evolution because it is scientifically proven where as Creationism can't be proven so their only way is to have blind faith in a fairy tale. Here here on Reason over Religion

It was a year ago that I felt the grips of death, was very ill.
A couple of years before that.
Well, everyday we are faced with the scary possibility of death.
Do I cry out for a god?
Nope.

Do not speak on my behalf, it only shows your ignorance.

I never read you bible.
I just did, and I would not be able to believe your religion for ...
I can't even input a time frame on that, the bible is too utterly preposterous to believe.
God sent snakes to kill thirsty and hungry people? Numbers 21:6
and there is certainly more where that came from... the entire thing.

There has to be a billion whacky things that the Christian God did, where is all this whacky stuff today?
Why does it feel I'm reading any other book of mythological tales?

Did that atheist friend ever read the bible? Sounds to me your friend was just naive and afraid (Pascal's Wager).

... I suppose it is just your kind of "thing" to believe it.

I've faced death twice. neither time did I call out for God.

I sometimes call out for Neptune to give me a good wave when at the beach though...

Atheism isn't a faith or religion, so an atheist doesn't owe loyalty to anything. It's only natural that an atheist might have second thoughts on the death bed and seek some comfort through a religion.

I'm a part-time atheist myself. I don't feel bad about that.

Atheism isn't a faith or religion

So have you been in all dimensions and locations in the galaxy simultaneously to verify God doesn't exist anywhere? No, you have not you say? Oh,.. well,.. then you also have faith. Faith that He doesn't exist.
