This man is claiming bible code offers proof that cannot be dismissed about May 21st being doomsday for most of the earth and goes on to spend his life savings to advertise to locals.

www.foxnews.com...

Pretty wild, he even gives a time to set our alarm clocks to. I mean, how can anyone know the exact date and hour? Well, if he truly believes this in his heart I can see him going all out, but at some point you have to step back and ask yourself a few serious questions.

So he is the one who has put all these adverts all over?

What will he do if nothing happens?

Says 6pm local time...what time zone though??

Also he doesn't say where it will happen....I'll be in VA at a wedding so yeah.

When I used search, I typed in May 21st and other key words with an emphasis and hopes of linking to this newly released article, didn't see it posted up yet.

I haven't found any proof or claims to be proof yet. This article just says bible code gives proof, but offers none. If it was 100% proof why would the man not make sure to put it out there in full disclosure where everyone can see it? I'm still looking, but I don't think I'm gonna find any code that gives this disclosure. I fear the poor man is gonna be pretty let down the day after.

I did a quick search on the guy, crashed my browser when I went to one of the news sites that he was on, but from what I can tell, its 6 pm Eastern timezone May 21st. 5 pm central. Sounds to me though from reading it, it is just a quick plug for his book, my guess is to generate some quick sales before may 21st.

Ohrlly? I didn't realize he had a book to sale as well. I just thought it was pretty wild the guy would spend his life savings to advertise this to his locals. Does it say when he started advertising? That would give us an idea of how much time he had to promote sells if that was truly his intention. I reckon stranger things have happened, but it's pretty wild this guy would just spend his life savings over this.

Yeah, it's called The Doomsday Code. Here is the review from Amazon:

Product Description: Mankind has only one book that can prove itself to be the word of God. That book is the Bible. God took over 1,500 years to write it and now, more than 1,900 years after its completion, God has "unsealed" the Bible to reveal astonishing secrets it contains. The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 8:5: Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment. God has promised to reveal not only the time when He will bring judgment on the earth, but also the nature of that judgment. In our day, God is using His ambassadors to warn the world that its time is almost over, and that they must be reconciled to Him or face the evil He is about to bring: five months of hell on earth. In The Doomsday Code, you will learn: • Why and when the earth was created. • What happens to a person who dies. • What the Bible reveals about conditions in today's local congregations of Christian churches, and what terrible thing happened there in recent history. • How we can know that Judgment Day begins on May 21, 2011 with a great earthquake, and that the last day of the earth's existence will be October 21, 2011. • What will happen to you if God has not saved you by May 21, 2011. • Which groups of people God will punish more severely during the five months of Judgment Day. • Whose countdown for the nation of Israel began on May 14, 1948. • How we can turn back our calendar to determine the date of the Crucifixion. The author is retired and lives in New York City.

So my guess is that he is generating a lot of sales, spent his life's savings on it. Takes some money to generate some money, no?

great stuf chadwikius

and like a ask in all bible code threads i reply to " how was the number of characters / line determined " ?

its a bloody obvious fundamental question that will create an entirely different set of " codes " from identical text - just by changing that one parameter

so far no rational answer has been furnished

I wonder if this guy is planning to commit suicide on the 21st May?

It would certainly be the end of the world for him.

Remember when Comet Hale-Bopp came by in 1996? There was a cult that believed there was an Alien mothership behind it and that it was destiny for the cult members to ascend on to the ship. So they all commited suicide, the comet passed and I guess we had the last laugh, so to say.

At least the 21st May is a Saturday. So if anything does happen, chances I will be at home.

How? Well, this is how he did it;

By Camping's understanding, the Bible was dictated by God and every word and number carries a spiritual significance. He noticed that particular numbers appeared in the Bible at the same time particular themes are discussed. The number 5, Camping concluded, equals "atonement." Ten is "completeness." Seventeen means "heaven." Camping patiently explained how he reached his conclusion for May 21, 2011. "Christ hung on the cross April 1, 33 A.D.," he began. "Now go to April 1 of 2011 A.D., and that's 1,978 years." Camping then multiplied 1,978 by 365.2422 days - the number of days in each solar year, not to be confused with a calendar year. Next, Camping noted that April 1 to May 21 encompasses 51 days. Add 51 to the sum of previous multiplication total, and it equals 722,500. Camping realized that (5 x 10 x 17) x (5 x 10 x 17) = 722,500. Or put into words: (Atonement x Completeness x Heaven), squared. "Five times 10 times 17 is telling you a story," Camping said. "It's the story from the time Christ made payment for your sins until you're completely saved. "I tell ya, I just about fell off my chair when I realized that," Camping said.

He further argues that;

By careful study of the Bible we learn that in the year 4990 B.C. (Before Christ) God brought a flood of water and destroyed the entire earth except for eight people and the animals that were with them. They were not destroyed because God brought them into the safety of the ark. Their leader, Noah, had obeyed God’s command to build a huge boat, called an ark, about 450 feet (137 meters) long. The Holy Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:7: By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Seven days before the beginning of the Flood that completely covered the entire earth, God commanded Noah to warn the peoples of the world that they had seven days to get into the safety of the ark. The Holy Bible tells us that on the 17th day of the 2nd month of that year God shut the door of the ark. Then, the Flood began to completely cover the entire earth. About 5,000 years later God wrote in His Holy Bible in 2 Peter Chapter 3 about this worldwide destruction by water in the days of Noah. In the same chapter He also warned that the time would come when Holy God would destroy the whole world by fire. Our entire universe would be forever destroyed. In between these two declarations of worldwide destruction that would come because of sin God made a very important statement. God declared in 2 Peter 3:8: But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. God had written in the Holy Bible in Genesis 7:4: For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. God added in Genesis 7:10-11: And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the Flood were upon the earth. In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. The ark that Noah had built was the only place of safety from the destruction of the Flood. Likewise, God’s gracious mercy is the only place of safety from the destruction that is coming on the Day of Judgment. In 2 Peter 3:8, which is quoted above, Holy God reminds us that one day is as 1,000 years. Therefore, with the correct understanding that the seven days referred to in Genesis 7:4 can be understood as 7,000 years, we learn that when God told Noah there were seven days to escape worldwide destruction, He was also telling the world there would be exactly 7,000 years (one day is as 1,000 years) to escape the wrath of God that would come when He destroys the world on Judgment Day. Because Holy Infinite God is all-knowing, He knows the end from the beginning. He knew how sinful the world would become. Seven thousand years after 4990 B.C. (the year of the Flood) is the year 2011 A.D. (our calendar). 4990 + 2011 – 1 = 7,000

He thus concludes that;

Thus Holy God is showing us by the words of 2 Peter 3:8 that He wants us to know that exactly 7,000 years after He destroyed the world with water in Noah’s day, He plans to destroy the entire world forever. Because the year 2011 A.D. is exactly 7,000 years after 4990 B.C. when the flood began, the Bible has given us absolute proof that the year 2011 is the end of the world during the Day of Judgment, which will come on the last day of the Day of Judgment.

Unless there was an adjustment or something I didn't catch somewhere, 4990 BC is actually 7001 years before 2011 - so this should have happened last year?

Do they not count anything between years 1BC/1AD, does it just shoot from one to the other with no year 0, etc.?
