looks like a head or two will roll for this one..

""Darrington District Fire Chief Dennis Fenstermaker says the fumes were caused by law enforcement-type tear gas canisters that apparently were improperly disposed of in a trash bin near City Hall. The canisters released the fumes as their packaging was was crushed inside the garbage truck.""

story here www.komonews.com...

after the investigation found that the tear gas canisters had recently been disposed of by the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office after they had reached their expiration date... so they just threw them away!!

wow.... even Idiots know to Dispose of OLD spray cans of paint PROPERLY..... uhmm right?

Not really, most people just throw em in the trash. This is unfortunate but people make mistakes, i'm sure they will review their policies and this won't happen again.

Wow. a few cheapie tyvek suits and there could have been a live training day.

But yeah people just don't ever think about the kinds of things they throw away. Old batteries are the
common one.

I got a tear gas canister with a bad fuse one time.

Split the canister open and took the compound out.

A small berry size piece on someone catalytic converter will raise havoc.

Drilling a hole in a piece of fire wood and putting in a piece of compound and leaving it on there firewood pile is one of the best revenges.
