Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign Launches

U.S. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) announced that he will run for president in 2012 during an appearance on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Friday.

The news should come as no surprise. Paul signaled that he was "on the verge" of making a decision on whether to enter the race earlier this week. On Thursday, multiple reports indicated that the strong libertarian voice would jump into the race.

Yes, its about time he officially announced his run! Love him or hate him, i still think he is one of the more sane candidates running in 2012.

I know I will be doing everything I can to get him elected. Remember the popular vote does not elect the POTUS. The electoral college does. Become a Delegate! Just our votes won't do the trick. This is our last hope IMO.

The MSM will put him back into the closet like they did last election. Ron Paul just entered Ghost Mode.

If he ever presented a threat, he would die of natural causes.

Ron Paul is the only candidate that I know of that uses common sense in his political idealogy. If only more politicians would use more common sense.

but compare to JFK .. i dont know
both are uncorruptible and good leaders

Just be careful. He could genuinely have the best interests of the American people at heart, but remember first and foremost he is a human being, and that means he is corruptible. For all we know he has just found a gap in the market and is using that to get elected, and when he's elected, he'll end up just the same as most of the previous presidents. Look at Obama for example.

Well he is sure waiting a long time to become corrupt. He has had the opportunity for about 30 years. As a Congressman he is the ONLY non-corrupt one.

I wouldn't say incorruptible. Just that they've had far more integrity than most everyone else in power.

Mine as well! (despite the electoral college) I will vote, and I will make damned sure I tell everyone to vote for him as well and most importantly WHY everyone should vote for him

I wish him well. It will be interesting. It's getting exciting already. Gingrich is a joke of a candidate, but Ron Paul... Now we're talking.
